Yes, I got lucky on PS Direct and had my PS5 delivered on 12/19. There is plenty of action with online MP, blues and reds.

 

Disagree, as Demons' Souls MP has a ton of action every day. Much more stable online connectivity compared to PS3. Ever play the original?

 

Will the game be sold out by the time stores are replenished with inventory? That is my point. The game isn't going anywhere and it isn't something that "needs" to be played immediately. I am enjoying the hell out of my PS5. That doesn't mean I couldn't have enjoyed it just the same a few months or even a year from now.

 

Yeah I concur. I’m getting into Miles Morales and enjoying it, but I definitely didn’t need it. Basically I anticipate that my PS5 will be mostly used in 2021 to play enhanced versions of PS4 games I haven’t gotten around to yet (Ghost of Tsushima, Days Gone, finishing GOW, picking up some DLC).

 

You did not answer my question. Your point is totally irrelevant in regard to "the game". The hype was legit and the online action is through the roof. The MP made this game the classic that it is. There is no guarantee the MP experience will be the same in a "few months or even a year".

 

I didn't think it was relevant whether or not I had played the game. However, I also forgot that the Demon Souls franchise was a multiplayer experience. So I will concede that I cannot speak to the merits of playing the game as soon as possible. Multiplayer games are certainly a different scenario. I know I would want to play the latest Halo at the height of it's user base. So Demon Souls could be the one exception to jump on a PS5 as soon as one can. That said, there isn't a game or franchise in existence that would make me pay above retail for a console.

So they ditched the Touch Pad from the Ps4 Controllers then ?

Now here is a thought I wonder if Sony would allow a developer to even use those features now if they don't exist on the new pad - and what the heck happens for a game that requires them - I take it you have to use a PS4 pad, I wonder if they ever put that in the small print before selling someone a game digitally ?

Random question (slightly off topic perhaps) but thinking about PS4's reminded me.
I saw a duel format pad once that worked on XBox One and on Playstation 4 - but I didn't take a lot of notice of who made it, I was wondering if anyone remembers it - as I do prefer the XBox thumb stick layouts slightly over the Playstation one - which can give me handcramps more easily I find & it's a bit more of a stretch to get at the buttons.

I do wonder though why no one seems to think that often about "reverse" layout namely the sticks up high and the button and D-pad down low - I can see some merit to that layout - makes me wonder why it's not really done (at least not so as I've noticed).

 

Would be believe in all the months of Videos i've watched on the new Consoles that is actually the 1st one that bothered to mention it they go on an on about the other features so much they seem to over look it entirely

So that is "good to know" - Glad to know Sony wasn't removing that feature after all I was wondering how much of a pain it would be for PS4 games if they had. (not that a huge number of games used it that much in the 1st place I guess)

 

The DualSense controller is leaps and bounds better than it's predecessor. The touch pad is far more precise, the haptic feedback triggers will change how you experience you're average game, the built in mic can be used as another controlling point, and the entire thing is a motion controller. The PS5 controller isn't something that can just be dismissed as a gimmick.

 

Sony announces next-gen VR headset for the PS5

 

GameStop sent an email yesterday stating that they would have some units available online, but I just ignored it. I'm not wasting anymore time hoping only for the system to crash or be stuck in the queue while payment processes, ultimately to be shut out. When I get a PS5, it'll be when I stroll into a store and buy one.

 

Friendly reminder that State of Play is today at 5pm. Sony will be talking about at least ten games for about thirty minutes.

Didn't even consider watching. I mean why bother when I can't get my hands on a damn PS5 still

 

GameStop had a restock on the PS5 and I got to snag one. Sadly it was a bundle with Miles Morales (I already own the PS4 edition), Avengers and Hitman 3. I hope I can trade in Hitman 3 and get Demon Souls.

 

Why would you trade in Hitman? It’s brilliant. Avengers is the dead weight in that bundle.
