I would like to see the Omnibots as well. Pre-Nucleon AMs would be interesting too, as would some normal G2/Euro stuff. And I'd still like to see a modern version of Machine Wars Optimus Prime, even if it's only a slight retool of Thunderclash. I just couldn't go for the $200+ third party version.

Most of my do-over list would be from early Classics where they got a weird update or nameslap recolor. For example, Grimlock was on that list for a long time, because the Classics raptor was awful and POTP was botched (the other four Dinobots turned out alright albeit undersized). Now we're getting Studio Series and, assuming they don't find a way to bungle it, that should be good for a long time. So that puts characters like Nightbeat and Goldbug on the table as the T30 doesn't fit either of them (plus a retool of Nightbeat allows for Minerva and you could get some of the other Throttlebots out of reshelling Goldbug).

Perceptor is probably the only one I think people would complain about. I love the original toy. But he's not a snow truck and I _hate_ how Titans Return made everybody a headmaster. He and Blaster (similar situation except I can take or leave the original toy) would be a good box set for SS86.

(At this point I'm assuming the leaks about Earth modes for Sideswipe, Red Alert, Mirage, etc are probably happening eventually so that shortened my disputed do-over list.)

The only way to approximate getting this right and topping the original(which I think has aged very well considering it’s a 26 year old mold), is to make an all new Commander class version at the very least. I would be down for it depending on how it turned out, otherwise the original is still fine(all it’s really missing compared to current mainline figures are though/wrist swivels and ankle rockers).

    Alpha Trion
    Airachnid
    Slipstream - WFC design
    Strika
    Clobber
    Shadow Striker
    Motormaster/Menasor w/ Trailer
    The Thirteen Primes
    WFC Omega Supreme
    Primus
    Strongarm
    Overdrive
Pretty much all the Cyberverse new characters could use CHUG styling.
Windblade could use a figure that stands well and isn't a headmaster.
Galvatron could use a good figure though Studio Series might take care of that...
    Nautica
Hell, most of the Unicron trilogy cast...
    Sari Sumdac
    Junkions

I think pretty much all of Armada needs redos in Generations. The originals might have been fun for kids, but they are almost all gimmick laden bricks, and there are lots of good designs that would make for great, well articulated figures.

Going off characters that already have an update, albeit lackluster one IMO, these definitely need a better update:

*Blaster w Eject, Rewind, Ramhorn, Steeljaw

    *Skids

    *Buzzsaw

    *Alpha Trion

*Sentinel Prime (instead of TR version, I want one based on his appearance in the G1 Five Faces of Darkness flashback)

    *Rodimus PRIME

This is a good list. Outside of G1, there's not many guys who manage to crossover in to the "main" continuity. Lockdown, Bulkhead, Barricade...there haven't really been that many breakouts who aren't just versions of existing characters.

That would be another great opportunity for HasTak. Take characters from one continuity and style them after another. How about some new beast figures named after G1 dudes. What would Prime and OG Megs turn in to? What would the BW cast look like in the Animated world?

What would Animated characters look like in "G1" style? Remember how badass Generations Lugnut was? MORE OF THAT PLEASE.

    Ebay:
    The cast of RiD01
    The cast of Armada/Energon/Cybertron
The Transmetals/Fusors, BWII & Neo characters
Basically anything that isn't from 1984-87

I'm tired of getting "better" (debatable!) versions of the same characters over and over. It's time to move on.

    Ebay:
-Drift, preferably a Cybertronian version similar to MMC Stray. Could probably work as an extensive SS86 Hot Rod remold if they don't want to make an all-new mold.
-Slipstream. I'd prefer an all-new mold with a similar transformation to the ER Seekers but a slimmer build, but I'd buy an ER Seeker repaint as her as long as it at least had a new head, and maybe Thrust's wings to reference her Takara Legends toy.
-Windblade. Could be a remold of Slipstream if she got a new mold, otherwise should be her own mold.
-Elita-1. I know she just got a figure in the Netflix line but I don't like the two most prominent fembots sharing the same body type so I'd love a larger figure (either large Deluxe or small Voyager) based more on her G1 cartoon design.
-Override and Sideways from the Cybertron cartoon (I'm sure remakes of other UT characters would be popular too but they're the two characters I personally want the most).
-Devcon, should work as an extensive remold of either SS86 Scourge or Blurr.
-Knock Out. I'd prefer a new mold but I think he could work as a remold of SS86 Jazz.
-All the Beast Machines Vehicons, with new molds that recreate their designs as closely as is realistically possible.
-Skids, preferably as a new mold but could probably also be a Jazz remold if they can give him the door wings.
-A new Jetfire at a smaller scale for those of us who don't have room for a Commander figure (so, large Voyager/new Leader size) based on either his G1 toy or his War Within comic design, I'd be happy with either one. The former would be great as an extensive Top Gun Maverick retool and the latter might work as one of Kingdom Cyclonus.
-I probably wouldn't buy it myself but a Blaster remold from Netflix Soundwave seems quite logical and I'm surprised there's no news of one being planned.
-Lockdown inspired by his Animated design, could maybe be a small Voyager like SS86 Hot Rod that has a complex transformation to give him a really tall robot mode and comes with lots of weapons. Basically it'd just be an updated version of his ROTF figure, which I think actually fits in with CHUG pretty well but the soft rubber parts make me nervous.
-Leader class Lugnut based on his HFTD figure but executed better.

I seem to be in the minority who doesn't feel the need for a new Perceptor or Blitzwing since I think their older figures fit in just fine.

Blitzwing or six shot with a new siege/earthrise mold would have been awesome.

Although I do love both versions from TR

    Terrorsaur, Inferno, Tarantulas...

Although I like what we have, after handling ER Cliffjumper and Bumblebee I'm kinda wanting a new Windcharger, Brawn, and Gears (and their recolors, of course).

    To an even lesser degree-
    Skids
    Buzzsaw and Overkill
    Blaster and cassettebots
    Junkions and Sharkticons (show accurate)
Perceptor and Blitzwing (no HM gimmick)
    Sandstorm and Broadside

    Rewind eject
I’d ask for throttlebots and trigger bits and cons but the deluxe size class does not work so I’ll wait until third party delivers.
    Deluxe insect icons
    Inner pretenders
    Missing masters
    Micromasters finished
    G2 guys

This. Those toys are pretty great in my humble opinion and the worst of those three has already been fixed with Astrotrain.

TR Blaster on the other hand is too big and too clunky especially when compared to Soundwave.

    Omnibots would be cool.

While this guy holds up pretty well in terms of articulation, despite the mold being 25 years old, he could still stand a little improvement. At the very least wrist swivels to give him better posing with the Sword of Fury.

And better engineering on the leg transformation than "slide out and hope the notch isn't worn out". Not sure about "more accurate" though since RiD/CR stuck pretty close to the toy when adapting the character for animation. One nice thing about RiD is the animation models were pretty accurate to the toys in general.

I'd prefer more posability with the gimmicks intact where possible. Obviously Scavenger would have to lose the stompy-stompy action to gain leg articulation, but they could do something else for him ...

Not if you pair him with TR/Bumblebee Greatest Hits Soundwave - IMO the best Soundwave CHUG has given us. I don't care for space dumpster SW or ER with the legs inside-out in walkman mode.

    20201229_160221336_iOS.jpg

I'd originally passed on this guy because I already had TR Blaster. But then I got this guy on clearance at Target a month after I picked up Space Dumpster Soundwave. So much awesome!

Of course, there is Armada Optimus Prime. The gimmicks make posing impossible. I say gutting the electronics and other gimmicks from Armada Optimus Prime would be desperately needed.
