I modded mine with swivelling wrists. I'll post pics (and hopefully some explanation) later this evening.

I've got Kingdom Cyclonus. I'll post a pic with Mania King later today after work.

When my SS86 Hot Rod gets here I'm excited to see how he looks next to my Mania King. I think they'll scale well together.

This is one of the few older 3rd party figs I still have on display. He's just a nice looking CHUG Galvatron.

To deal with the lack of wrist swivel, I transplanted a new pair of hands onto him. His original hands are mounted to his wrist by a pin. I don’t have “before” pictures, so here’s a screenshot courtesy of Emgo; the red arrow points to the base of the hand, which is a cylindrical piece with the pin running through it.

I punched out the pin and removed the hand assembly. Next, I cut off the fingers and thumb. I then harvested a pair of swiveling hands from a KO junker Warbotron figure (a limb bot from MB Bruticus). Using an xacto, I trimmed down the Mania King base so it would slide through the cylindrical opening at the base of the MB hands. Then I put the transplanted hand, mounted on the original base, back into the wrist and drove the pin back through the original base. See below; the red arrow points toward the modified base of the original hand. The yellow arrow points to the MB hand, which fits over the original base.

Centering the new hand on the original base, you have the following:

In essence, I’m using the original hand base as a thick plastic pin, which itself is attached to the wrist by the original metal pin.

The end result looks good enough to me. They fully swivel, allowing for full use of the elbows, etc. These new hands are a bit bigger than the originals, but I don’t think it’s a problem. Transformation is the same.

    Hope that helps!

I struggled to push out the pins in mine when I first got Mania King, thinking to replace the hands with something like that... but I could never tell which was the knurled end, and pushing on the pins really strained the plastic, and I got scared I'd break him!

If anyone is looking for the limited edition, Movie Colors version of Mania King, I am probably going to be selling mine. Only taken out of the box over the last week and half, after being purchased new by me. Only transformed once and comes with the original box/paperwork. PM me if interested.

It looks like I had photoshopped his face to look more to my liking. (Been awhile, fuzzy memory)
i obviously photoshopped the disco lighting.

Ok now that version looks even better.

I think they good together - but I got to be honest, he does stand out from the other two.

I am curious to see what that rumored Galvatron will look like though.

I've been thinking about getting this guy as my Galvatron, though he's a bit small. How's the plastic quality?

Excellent. As it so happens I was snapping a couple pics of him earlier today - always loved the toy. Great plastic quality, smooth, easy transformation. Looks awesome in both modes imo. If you can get him at a reasonable price, do it.

Plastic quality is good. Not super-refined, but sturdy and clean. Not gummy or brittle or anything like that. I transform him fearlessly.

Alright, I'm on board. Anyone have the vintage version for sale? I have my eye on one that's on eBay right now, but it's the regular version.

I was thinking of getting this but i was wondering is the lack of a wrist swivel that bothersome/annoying?
