Nothing announced yet. It's possible they could trim that back a bit, maybe just adding the guns with the trailer and call it done, since the toy version wouldn't need the car shells.

 

Yeah, especially since Dead End will be coming with all the combiner parts. Because of that and the FT price hike as of late, I fully expect him to be, and I will honestly be surprised if he isn't, $300+.

 

I think it looks fantastic and I'm glad for anyone that is in on it. Easily the best looking menasor we've seen and I think will be hard to beat. Menasor was always the dull G1 combiner so anyone looking for thrills would have always been disappointed.

Sure it's not the cheapest anymore but it still isn't the most expensive, fanstoys will take that gong no doubt.

 

With the price that Thomas shot up to I can't even imagine. That and their final superion figure are going to be flipped so hard and that's just the retailers lol

I ain't got any skin in this game, thank fuhk...but if I did, I'd choose the no base mode option for $150, Alex! I mean, I'm sure there are people out there that prefer having a base mode, all things equal...but I can't imagine there are more than 4 people that felt a base mode was worth an extra $100-150.

Yep, and so are most likely the 'bot detail' in front, probably tabbing in to that peg that the legs have. Especially since they seem misaligned to the knee.

Anyhow, the DX9 Menasor looks quite nice to me, but I'm not changing at this point.
I'll probably just get the trailer, hope for the best and check off "Menasor/Stunticons" from my (imaginary) checklist

Don't tell my employer that I'm borrowing Excel to work things out while using up the rest of this year's vacation. I wasn't tracking these sets at all until about 6 months ago and really only got serious about 3 months ago looking for deals to fill-in gaps. How do these prices stack up? I checked several US retailers plus folks like Show.z, bababobo,Terry, etc. to figure out what kind of discounts they were originally offering on some of these sets. It's tough to even find all the original MSRP listings on TFSource and BBTS anymore.

Trying to figure out the costs for each team if you paid full MSRP or if you did some hunting to order from overseas to save a bit. Then added in the cost if you decided to jump in today and collect a set by looking at what is still available from TF Express, Show.z, e-Bay, etc. Of course there are huge questions for figuring out how Fans Toys will be able to complete the set with just one more limb to go. One really expensive limb or break it up into a regular priced limb and then another trailer or skeleton containing all the combiner pieces.

If someone doesn't agree with a value I've got, then please let us know what the original prices were or how cheap Toy Dojo or Terry cut a pre-order price when items first hit the market. I think I'm thick-skinned enough to update some values in a spreadsheet.

 

uh i don't really watch ben's reviews but did anybody else get the vibe that he was trying not to break that thing? like he was holding his breath a lot. if you close your eyes it sounds like he's walking with a pot of boiling water trying....not......to.....spill it.

I think the values for Wildrider should be Breakdown's and vice versa and that's true for both FT and XTB. Also XTB's Flipout going rate is 125 plus on eBay, BEFORE shipping.

Yup, that's definitely the thing that messed me up doing my quick checks last night, is that the prices on these sets have changed so much with the re-releases that it's hard to find the best points of comparison.

Still, those FT prices. Woof. I mean, yeah, their car figures are in a larger scale than the others (although I find it to be a tad excessive), but even then, that's a pretty chunk of change.

 

This one I agree. Since u can't really trust Ben's review on figure's shortcoming, better wait for more feedbacks.

 

Also @SquishyOH, we don't have any idea whatsoever about the price of FT's trailer, so I'd suggest putting in a range.

dalianjj said that the price of Deadend plus trailer would be around the price of Motormaster. Obviously nobody believes that anymore, but so far they've only increased the price of one of the limbs by 20 bucks, so I would say 220 dollar for the whole (Deadend + Trailer) might still be in play.

 

That's some great work here. And I think for DX9 price is accurate, I got full set around $420 using pre-order plus over $100 discount from site like ShowZ/Baba, very close to your $444 deal price.

 

I wouldn't take that as a sign of him handling the trailer with kid gloves. That's pretty much just standard Ben mannerisms there.

Kinda the polar opposite energy from that Primevsprime guy.

 

I'll see what others say. Maybe I'll try to figure out a low-end and high-end estimate to finish off Fans Toys. It gets crowded trying to fit in too many more data points, but you make an excellent point that Fans Toys is really a big unknown at this point and an expected range makes more sense. Clearly it worked with XTB and their trailer price. I'm not sure I'll believe $220 for both, but I think I'll use that as the bottom end of guestimates when I update the spreadsheet. After getting burned by XTB and then FT Thomas, my expectations are pricier.
