So... Thrust rumors and conjecture. Reading some of the other boards... apparently there were 2000 shipping containers lost at sea between China and CA a few weeks ago. If Thrust was part of that loss, that could explain his continued absence in most of the country. IF that’s what happened, I certainly hope Hasbro will do another run for Target. Also, I’ve read that Popfindr isn’t working for Target? Brickseek doesn’t show Thrust either. Got another delay from Target today. Some people are getting their orders cancelled. Wondering how long I should hold out before going to eBay. I don’t want to pay $90, but I reeeeeally don’t want to pay $190 in two weeks. Thoughts or jokes welcome.
I can't imagine not doing that. I'm sure there's insurance and loss prevention to help cover some of it but the customers need something too. On another note, is there a BW Megs review thread? I'm looking for tips on fixing that one weird rubber peg. @einhazard suggested it may be glued in, so heating it with something would potentially loosen it up and let me slide it back in.
I'm going to ride out my preorder for Thrust, and hope that it eventually shows up in the stores like all other Target exclusive TFs in the past year. It would suck if I miss out on one, but I don't think I'm going to pay secondary prices for one.
The fact that I never got Amazon's Ramjet and Dirge already left me with a sour taste in my mouth to do with exclusives here... Heck, I still don't know if I'll get my Ironhide/Prowl 2 pack as I had to approve delays AGAIN. If Thrust never pops up in large quantities around the country I'd hope maybe Hasbro would make another shipment, but not holding my breath. In terms of other things...who keeps asking for more snow? I think we've gotten more than enough already.
I purchased a loose complete one earlier this year. First time I transformed it his waist broke. Lol. I knew it was an issue beforehand but I was still blown away by how easily it happened. I’m also surprised it somehow survived all these decades until it got into my hands. On the plus side T-rex mode still holds together well so it’s on a shelf.
Stuff like Prowl/Ironhide and Thrust are why I'm tapping out on trying to actually get all the BW stuff. Why put myself behind the 8-ball and have that "one gap" if someone gets stuffed behind an exclusive. Eff it. I'll keep Megs and get Boss monkey to hang out in beast mode together. The Bone Squad is top shelf and are must haves but beyond that I'm losing interest. Maybe once Primal gets here my opinion will turn around. But these stress marks on Megs are a bummer for a figure I was pretty hyped about.
Kid you not, the first step to transform Megs out of beast mode is flipping up his hip pads and folding the whole assembly up on his back just like TM Megs' hover mode. And those wind up on his back in bot mode. It's probably a hop/skip/jump to a TM Megatron if they decide to do it. Just need a place to hide the trex head. So maybe all these exploding waist joints are just pretools for that...
Maybe they'll find the korean version like that one limb on the FP Glacialbots? I would think so. Store exclusives have been such a pain. It wouldn't be bad if they were just repaints that no one cared about, but stuffing unique molds and main characters into those is getting to be really frustrating. I get preorders getting pushed back and things being cancelled, and maybe it's just extra bad because stuff's screwy this year, but when every preorder feels like a dice roll, it's not a great experience, especially when everyone in this thread is more invested in getting those preorders than most people in the world. Same thing with my broke-ass kingdom Megs. I can at least balance him on the broken leg in bot mode, so maybe the pulse one I've got preordered will stay in T-rex mode... if I even bother with it. Retail TF's for me are kinda easy-come-easy-go. I'm a bit more salty since it's a leader, but hey, it is what it is. It's not like I have money to burn, but I kinda expect some of my stuff to break because like... entropy and stuff. At least every other kingdom figure so far has been top-notch for me. Even Cheetor--who was the least impressive--is still the one I find myself transforming over and over while working.
In lighter news: Happy Earthrise Day! Probably won't get a chance to watch any of it until later, but looking forward to a few hours of entertainment.

For what it’s worth, my Thrust switched from backordered “yellow” to “green” in the Target app with an arrival date of Jan. 12. I’ll believe it when it’s actually here...
With people finding the 86 movie Studio Series figures in California now, how long until we see them around here? This is the time of year I HATE driving around looking for stuff, maybe if I had a truck I'd feel more daring, but after having experiences getting stuck, even at the end of my own street driving a car, I'm not big on driving unless I have reason to.
Target randomly shipped out a Kingdom Warpath and Black Series Jar Jar I had preordered on separate orders today. I guess they are getting some new toys trickling in. Most of the Targets I've stopped in over the last week or so looks pretty barren in the toy isles, so perhaps the new stuff will be put out soon.
I think sooner than we'd expect. A few stores have had "In Stock" numbers that don't match their On Hand/on shelf counts and it makes me feel like they're sitting on stuff they can't put out yet.
Have you been using brickseek or just scanning product in-store? I hear popfindr isn’t working for Target.
PopFindr seems to be down/out. Given the messages they started putting up once the PS5 came out, I'm wondering if Target (or PopFindr themselves) didn't pull the plug due to the strain on their servers. I could easily see them running in to problems with bots. And if that was causing a problem, Target may have decided to shut down whatever APIs were being used...if not blocking specific 3Ps that were identified as a resource drain. Regarding stock, *every* Target I've been too has said they've got 2 SS Leaders "In Hand" or whatever the In Stock number is. Despite nothing on the floor. The Eagan SS Deluxe count has also been high compared to what's on the pegs for a few months now (though I haven't checked since Christmas). Part of me believes it's something off with the stock numbers (which we've seen before when all the stores were doing their big remodeling/overhauls) but there's also that cynical part that wouldn't be shocked if employees are being told to stop pulling stuff from the back for now to ensure what's on the shelves sells through. And, for the most part, it's been working. All those Grapple and Megatrons have been dwindling over the past few weeks. As have the countless Scrapper/Mixmaster/Skipjack that have lined shelves. Still no luck moving the SS DotM Megs at Eagan, but even with those accounted for the numbers seem off.
