Yep, that's another reason why I caved. If the prices go much higher I can't justify it.

 

Ratrap shipped and Paleotrex, Cheetor, and Black Arachnia are currently preparing to ship.

 

Had anyone else's Ectotron v2 not shipped yet from Target? Mine's been sitting at "preparing to ship" for days.

Oh, and like everyone else, another Thrust delay.

Yup had to approve my Thrust as well. I'm also when I first placed the order I set it up to be delivered to my Mom's address in Ohio since that is when I was going to be home for the holidays. I have changed the address to my home address but Target hasn't confirmed the change and they might not until Thrust is shipped, but there is still a chance that he is going to be mailed to a different state. So needless to say I am really hoping I can find him in a store soon because this is getting tiresome.

This is also why I use BBTS for preorders because with the pile of loot system I don't have to worry about things being mailed out when I am away from home.

 

Got my Thrust delay today as well. But was able to get one in store. Was shocked too as I hasn't seen any east coast sightings yet.

I saw an article on another forum that said basically the ship went back to Japan to have everything inventoried. As you can see in that pic some of the containers are hanging off. They're going to inventory everything, put the "good" stuff back on a boat and send it to where it was going. Then tell the manufacturers what was lost, then if Thrust was lost, Hasbro will likely re-make them. But it also might be that 70% of the Thrusts are on that boat and fine, and just delayed while they sort out the boat. We won't ever know unless Hasbro tells us a year from now at Hasbrocon or whatever

Since they are the same figure, I would assume they were done on the same production run. Maybe Thrust was delivered to Japan on that ship before setting sail for the US? (Speculation, I have no evidence of this).

Then again, they could be just delayed on the boat. I suppose we have no way of knowing until they count the containers on that boat.

 

If those were indeed on the containers then how does some places in Cali and others got them?

 

Maybe not all arrived in one shipment? Or they could be stuck in a warehouse waiting for distribution somewhere in California (Speculation, no evidence)

 

I'm not 100% sure but they might have been closer to the US or its possible that it wasn't in that shipment just a guess though

As for Thrust... yeah. He's the last bit of Earthrise I need, too. I fully understand that in the grand scheme of things it's not all that important, but considering this year and the stress of my retail job where I went to overnights because of customers threatening my life over the lack of toilet paper... I kinda need/want all the good cheer I can get.

I'm trying to stay away from eBay, but damn...

 

But did you see how some of those shipping containers were completely smashed to bits. And Target paid for those Thrust, they may just say give us whatever you got and cut their losses! Target is cheap like that! And the few showing up could very well be the last of the stock from the wearhouse, that they flew over. I don't know...but this is not looking good.

 

Well, I can 100% guarantee that no thrusts were "flown over", that's not how frieght works.

Also, Thrust has been slowly making his way across the country just like every other "hard to find" Target exclusive, first CA, then CO, and now OH.

And, if they're truly lost, you're right Target may not re-order them but then Hasbro will just make more and put them up on Pulse, (or smack him into another set/wave down the road with a tweaked deco). Hasbro has even been re-ordering their hard to find exclusives the next year and putting them on Pulse. Plus look what they did with Regal Cobra Commander: they put up pre-orders for 3 months then closed them, and made exactly as many as people ordered.

Hasbro knows people want Thrust and if they are truly at the bottom of the ocean, they'll make more. But I don't think they're at the bottom of the ocean, I think they're showing up in the same exact pattern as every other Target exclusive and people are freaking out about nothing. I bet they'll be available on the website to order for months, just like the seekers were, just like the rainmakers were, just like everything else has been.

The ONLY exception to this pattern were last year's 6" Joe figures, but that is likely because Hasbro vastly underestimated demand for them, mostly because all the Joe fans whined about how they didn't like the scale so Hasbro made low qty expecting them to not sell as well. That clearly was a mistake and they've been making more Joes ever since. And I bet those Joes will end up on Pulse next year too.

Just be patient people.

 

My Thrust just shipped! I was wondering why I didn't get a delay email yesterday.

 

Last I heard the ship was back at Port and they were safely restacking the containers so they could figure out what was lost. The process was supposed to take a few weeks so even if it wasn't lost it could have a long delay. I doubt hasbro would order more before finding out what was lost and what will eventually arrive

 

Just had a nice talk with target on chat, my thrust was silently cancelled on the 21st because payment failed, since my card was stolen and I had to replace it. I had already updated my accounts payment method, but that doesn't update orders and there is no option to do so online I saw on per order basis. They said if I could re-order it when it is in stock they'd give it to me free using a reference number. Please someone tell me this irony is not lost on anyone else.

 

Stay away from ebay. Spent way too much on Bumblebee and the now he’s relatively easier to find.

Target has been relatively good to me. I found the rainmakers in store, was able to order and receive thundercracker quickly, and got Pounce and Wingspan with no problem. Got a misassembled Runabout from them but they refunded me completely without having to send him back and I was able to order a new one a fewdays later. I feel like Thrust will come sooner then later.

Took forever to get Bluestreak in Walgreens. Some hiccup in distribution here. but i’ve yet to see any wave 2 or 3 figures on shelfs.
