Got him last week from Pulse, he's a lot of fun. His deco is pretty great; nice and simple. I do wish they would have given him black fists, but that's a small complaint.

I've said this somewhere else in another thread, but he's the perfect seeker for someone who just has to complete teams (like me), but doesn't want to play the exclusives game to complete them; he's not tied in with teammates canon-wise, so you can just grab him & be content!

 

Earlier today I saw the post concerning Sandstorm being available from Dorkside, and I actually considered ordering from there and cancelling my BBTS order, since it was supposed to be due in February.

I went as far as creating an account and putting it in the basket, partly to check the delivery charge to UK but I was considering ordering it... then I changed my mind. Figured it’s nice to space things out a bit, and why should I be impatient?

Popped out to shop. Came back, and waiting for me was the notification from BBTS of goods arrived! Glad I didn’t cancel the order now.

 

You should have seen how I dressed back in 2004, tan head to two, although I was deployed to Iraq at the time...

 

I discovered a bit of a design flaw in the Earthrise Seekers today with my new Sandstorm. When I first went to turn his arms there was a lot of resistance. Even some squeaking and creaking sounds. Then suddenly they were turning much more smoothly. But something about it didn't feel quite right.

Upon closer examination I could see that the mushroom peg the shoulders attach to were rotating with the arm as I moved it. Then I checked out my other 5 Earthrise Seekers. The mushroom peg stays stationary on all of them except for one shoulder on my Skywarp. So far everything is functioning fine but it seems as though a tiny tab or something busted inside those joints.

 

Pulse was supposed to ship it out july 1st, it just got pushed back til October 6th. Any idea what happened ?

 

Could've been pushed back at the factory due to the impending release of G2 Ramjet?

 

Gamestop has restocked Sandstorm for $22.97.
