You know you don't have to read the reviews. I'm mildly interested in reviews, so I'll know just how low to set my expectations for ER. (I was NOT impressed by Siege at all.)

As for spoilers, I'll be impressed if there's actually anything of interest to spoil ... (Like I said, not impressed by Siege.)

Prime is slightly above average for TF media. Enjoyable but nothing truly remarkable. It's no Beast Wars, but at least it isn't BM/Energon/IDW either.

Siege was hyped up as something amazing, only to have wooden voice acting, muddy visuals, and a boring, cookie-cutter plot with unengaging characters. It's not the worst thing ever, but failed to deliver on what the hype promised. It was boring, which is actually WORSE than being truly bad. At least a train wreck holds your interest.

Nah prime was something amazing. The animation, stories, characters, action, soundtracks all were great. It’s not the best tf media ever because that goes to idw and beast machines isn’t bad imo.Siege was overhyped yes and it didn’t have good voice acting and some other flaws but it had a decent plot and some character development nothing great but it was decent. This one I’m exited because it seems to do something new.

IDW the best?  We'll just have to disagree on that - I regard it as the worst TF media, only because I normally pretend Kiss Players doesn't exist. (Although that is in part because some of IDW's more ... outspoken fans turned pushed me from mild dislike/disinterest to outright loathing of the comics.)

BM could have been decent, if it hadn't been Cybertron and the BW characters. But as broadcast, it's crap.

I actually found the Prime Wars cartoon more watchable than Siege. Not good, mind you, but I went in with low expectations so I was mildly entertained with what we got. Who knows, since I'm not expecting much from ER I'll come away entertained.

Prime was solidly entertaining and a good remix of established elements. Definitely one of the better franchises in TF history.

Loving the hints! Very excited for this. Siege was fun. Not as dark as Prime but not quite kiddie like Animated or RiD. Overall it struck a good balance. I didn’t mind the slow talking, since it matched with the slow animation movement.
Really looking forward to more Jetfire. I think he was by far the scene-stealer of Siege and I hope they build on him learning what it means to be an Autobot.

Prime's biggest sin was being boring. Either nothing happened for episodes at a time or it just rehashes stuff we see in every other half assed action animation. That's a bit of a deal breaker for people who want an engaging story. Story wise it just didn't do anything well or contribute anything new to the lore overall. It was just looked pretty. I'll give Hasbro credit for actually putting some money on a project.

Siege feels much the same, but on slow motion. Hasbro clearly put all their money into the animation again and didn't care about the story or voice acting. It's better than Prime Wars, but it's still just not very good.

Transformers is in desperate need for a shake up. Not just to move past characters from the past, but to move past retelling the same stories and rehashing famous lines. Beast Wars worked because it (Step 1) reinvented the story and created its own voice and cast and (Step 2) then it opened the door back to the past to create a larger narrative. Hasbro insists on jumping to Step 2 and because they can't find writers capable of even grasping the need for Step 1. Nor do the brass at Hasbro seem to care. Sadly, too many fans are willing to accept this. If enough fans squeel when they hear "one shall stand, one shall fall" Hasbro thinks they've done enough and will just keep doing it over again next time.

I know creating is harder than rehashing the past, but that's what creators are for.

Not sure they could. These were well into production by the time Siege aired and they got whatever feedback they did. If they weren't springing for union voice actors they weren't rerecording and reediting large chunks of the show because Prime talked too slow.

While I am 100% not interested in watching this round of episodes (having stopped mid first season due to how bad I found it) I will however check out episode 2 just because of the above mention of \"Hello Mr. Duocon.\"....if I even get a single second of Skytread on screen I would change my opinion of the series and bestow opon it a single star :D  ALL HAIL SKYTREAD!

Considering how kind TFW's review for Siege was, I don't think I can take their word on this season.

Watched the first season as far animation goes it looked pretty cool; story wise was extremely weak and was not that thrilled after watching it.
So I might not watch this on my T.V but while working remote might use it as background noise on my tablet for Season 2.

I honestly don't think I'm going to watch Earthrise. I didn't like Siege, and I had trouble even making it through the Earthrise trailers. Although I might consider just skipping to the last episode or two, since those were the only somewhat okay part of Siege.

I agree. Prime is weird, because some people utterly hate it and other people claim it's among the best Transformers shows. It's probably the most divisive piece of Transformers media, with no general consensus. I'm personally in the "it's okay" camp too. I think it's very entertaining and fun, but also very flawed. It feels like the Transformers equivalent of Force Awakens (or a JJ Abrams movie in general). I personally think the animation and dynamic cinematography go a long way in making it popular. If it had RID2015-level animation, I think it would have been received worse than RID2015, and I think the flaws would be less forgivable.

I might be the only person who actually likes RID2015 (at least the first season) better than Prime. To me it felt more imaginative. The core premise of the crashed prison ship and all was more interesting and out-of-the-box. It actually progressed the story by continuing Bumblebee's arc from Prime. I personally think the robot designs are a lot more refined, especially the faces\. Denny Clay was a more creative human character than the kids. The animation was worse, but that allowed more creative freedom, like a wider variety of Transformer body types/sizes, settings, weapons, and abilities (like actually getting to see a Shifter in action, which Prime had to obscure). I do think RID2015's later seasons became a bit boring...but only after they started over-relying on familiar faces like Starscream (that was when I felt my interest wandering, at least).

This is probably the main thing that ticked me off about Siege. It's not "just" a run-of-the-mill Transformers show like Cyberverse or Prime or RID2015. They marketed it as a "definitive take" on Transformers, aimed at (and made by) adult fans. But the whole thing feels halfhearted. Toy CAD models, subpar voice-acting, ugly environments, and a below-average story that doesn't attempt to challenge its supposed adult audience with adult themes or a complex narrative (having a couple swear words and more violence doesn't make something "adult"). They did the same thing with Prime Wars. I'll be the first to admit that Siege was leagues better than Combiner Wars (which I still consider one of the worst professionally made pieces of entertainment I've ever seen), but IMO it's still not anywhere near acceptable.
