I still don’t like the bustline/neckline or the faces, myself. But, she does appear to be highly posable and able to stand on her own in at least some poses. She’s definitely not perfect. If the QC and engineering appear to pass muster once more people get her in-hand, though, I may consider picking one up.
There’s a good chance I will. Half the reason I didn’t preorder was due to concerns over QC and engineering. If she turns out to be solid in the long-term, I might be able to overlook what I consider to be the less-than-ideal aesthetic choices.
The impossible happened! I finally got my shipping notice that she's on the way and arriving January 5th.
If that's the case, hopefully the metal (?) connector can easily be pushed out. Also, the shape of her breast is congurent to the car mode hood.
No you didn't. Figment of your imagination... ...because I still didn't get mine Seriously, I know having to piss about with my card issuer delayed stuff, but it went through nearly 48hrs ago and it's been Preparing for Shipment for over 24hrs. What needs to happen to get them to ship this thing?
There's a few images further back, probably posted by @jackisking from the Twitter trawl. You might need to go back to boxing day though...
Having handled mine for a while, QC/builld quality is definitely miles better than Hound's. - Great arms/shoulder posability, but limited hips/thighs movement (thighs can't bend backwards, maximum spread at 45 degrees). Also, ratcheted thighs with each click at 45 degrees, WTF. - Transformation wise not as fun/intuitive as Sunstreaker (some parts like the windshield has to be rotated in a specific manner to fit through). - Rear kibble is connected to the body by a small piece that's really tight out of the box (due to paint), best to use something as leverage to push it out during your first transformation if it doesn't budge, paint chipping may occur here. - Looks weird standing straight, IMO, she's pretty much sticking out her butt due to the exaggerated curved bottom(most likely to shift the center of gravity to compensate for the heavy backpack). You would normally be bending the thighs back/thrusting the crotch forward on other figures for a slightly more natural stance, but not here. Very tight ankles though, which is nice. - Has a plug hole in her butt that's compatible with your standard Figma/MP/Gundam stands. Overall, I'd place her complexity to be quite the same as Fantoy's, but she wins a few extra points for not being a floppy mess mid-transformation. Alt mode is the best of the three, Bot mode is kinda a tie with MMC (both has their different pros and cons). Playability-wise I still prefer MMC. Quick one from me
