I didn’t plan on anything else flashy for Christmas so this guy was a wonderfully timed surprise.

Spinout is now suppose to arrive today, along with my order from TCP that has about 7 items in it.
    Merry Christmas to me :D

Finally able to open up the Santa-red Diacloney goodness. IMG_20201225_075331.jpg

Maybe the most gorgeous Alt-mode ever.

I opened mine this morning. I think this is my new favorite car mold over the Datsuns. I wonder why they chose to completely black out the words/badging on the back? Has it been that way for all of the SS molds? I’ve never noticed it on SS or Cordon, but maybe it is.

Nope it is not like that on Cordon. You can actually read it. I think they goofed. But it’s the only flaw I can find on my copy so I’ll let it go.

No, Takara needs to release Deep Cover with the current mold so all of us that have been collecting them can get a complete set, then and only then should they even consider it.

It's actually one of the last MP's I would purchase along with Mirage if they would finally make him ... and Stepper from a hopeful MP Jazz to go with my Artfire MP.

it probably unlikely as Clampdown sold as well as used mens underwear, the reason they haven't released him is probably as simple as that. A 2.0 is probably the best chance to see a Deep Cover

The Lambo badge on the bonnet is also painted over solid black instead of black underneath the gold detailing. I wonder if they did the paint apps out of order.

Just got payment notification from BBTS for this fella. Looking forward to getting him in-hand. I love Cordon and don't usually double dip on molds, but it's a fantastic figure and the red Lambo speaks to me.

Unless they release an MP Jazz or decide to do any Decepticon repaints of existing molds, this could be the last MP car I buy for a long time. That's ok, because this is an absolutely beautiful way to end it. Like Cordon was, Spinout is just beautiful in-hand, and really makes me wish that we had that head for Sunstreaker.

The price of MP44 stopped me dead in my tracks when it comes to MP figures. At this point, I decided to only get the Diaclone new characters (so still waiting for Deepcover and a new character Black Ironhide). I’d also get a BW Silverbolt if they ever made one.

Sorry for the tease bump, but is anybody still waiting for this guy? I ordered it at TF Source and it still hasn't come in.

It still saddens me that a toy deco Sunstreaker probably won't happen after this. Would be great to see a lineup of Cordon, Spinout and a toy deco Sunstreaker in all their glory. Putting the Spinout stickers on toon Sunstreaker won't cut it.

I wouldn't rule it out entirely. I don't think Thundercracker being named MP-52+ precludes a possible toy-accurate repaint of Starscream, and I feel the same about MP-39+.

yeah takara mp naming conventions are all....subject to change. like thundercracker in my mind should be another number but they gave him starscream's with a plus. so what is skywarp gonna be? MP-52 ++ ? lol. no reason we can't have that lol

One of the most frustrating things about the MP line beyond the pace is the numbering which makes zero sense at this point and only serves to confuse fans. Bad job, TakaraTomy.
