I prefer both this FT-04T version and the FT-04X version over the regular FT-04 as the legs are black (matches Snarl and Sludge better), the underside of the Dino mouth is gold, and most importantly, in Triceratops mode the Dino horns are red.

As much as I want the “toy” version I don’t think I’ll ever be able to get it. My custom X and G2 will have to do. :(

Yeah. I have every version of Scoria except the FT-04T, the toy version. I missed out on it unfortunately.

I have a MISB Scoria for sale in the Junkion Exchange that I bought from a fellow TFW member to keep as a MISB second, if anyone is still needing one.

I'm still trying to fund my Haslab Unicron.

Hate to bump this thread, but do both releases of Scoria have chrome wear issues? I got an unused one, and I may sell for a V2.

edit: reading through this thread, I’d like to buy someone’s V2, if they are offering it :) .

Chrome is holding up fine on mine. The metallic color on the diecast toes did become a little weathered over a short period of time, but my understanding is that was common and it wasn’t a big deal anyway.

I have one that is likely V1, and the chrome on the horns seems to be gone.

Out of curiosity: Has anyone ever tried swapping out the red eyes for the regular blue ones on the smoke head? - I was reading through this and other FT Dibots threads and haven't seen a single picture with that configuration.

With all the reissue talk for Slag lately with some new pre-orders coming up even just wondering what peoples thoughts and hopes is for a Fanstoys reissue of Slag. Are more people hoping for Scoria or Cesium?

I myself have no guess on which one it may be as both seem to have compelling arguments for a re-issue. Doubtful they will do both though...

I'd assume they'll just do Scoria since that's already part of the Fanstoys' brand and I doubt they'll want to muddy the waters.

Edit: Although, looking at pics of both of them, Cesium is closer to the toon than I realized, especially when it comes to the stomach and leg shape. Now I'm hoping they reissue Cesium, because I might have to track one down otherwise.

I'm fine with either or. I'd personally prefer Cesium but I won't object if it's Scoria, it's still Slag after all.

Just don't let @The Allspice know if it turns out to be Cesium. :p

If they do, know that I would buy one exclusively to display bent over and on all fours behind my G2 Slag.

How openly connected was Fanstoys to Perfect Fusion, anyway? Was it something they didn't advertise, or was it explicitly marketed as a Fanstoys sub-brand? I feel like that could factor into whether we'll see Cesium. Like do they actually think of Cesium as their 2.0 version of Slag?

I feel like it was the former, that they didn't announce it or tie it in with their regular offerings. For example, the character description on the back of Roadking's box mentions Scoria, I think (?)

They didn’t advertise the connection, but when I received my copy of Cesium, it had a Fans Toys sticker sealing the box, and the same styrofoam insert with Fans Toys tape keeping the two halves together. So, while they didn’t outright say it was them, the proof is in the packaging.
