He's solid and poseable, transformation is not that bad and especially the car mode looks great with all those light up features. Also I'm not the biggest fan of this design so I don't mind inaccuracies and it is a bit tiring to see all those companies spitting Bees over and over (sometimes 3 in a row  )

 

Oh well yeah that makes sense haha. Also i agree that beetle mode is the best looking with those lights.
And yeah theres something like too mamu bumblebees, but to each their own.
Im quite hyped for TC

 

Just got this in the mail today, figure blew me away out of the box, but unfortunately my copy came with a very noticeable crack on one of the clear hinge pieces on the backpack. Definitely a bummer, as the deco is really nice and I love the accessories.   Will be contacting TFSource for a replacement.

 

I can't sing enough praises about this figure. I think it's the most overlooked figure of the year!

Anyone with a second batch one able to confirm that the tail lights feature was dropped? My copy doesn't seem to have head or tail lights electronics, the space where they would go is empty

 

New bee arrived today. No headlights or tail lights. I'm guessing they updated the manual as it includes the new hammer and only shows battery installation for the robot head and cannon:

What is actually new? Didn't it always have LEDs on hand cannon and eyes? I think that bullet point was supposed to be 'Removed headlight and tail light LEDs.'.

I wish I was able to get the original edition with more paint and gimmicks...for less money but my first impressions straight out of the box are pretty great.

Bonus edit question: Anyone have both versions? This one seems pretty orangey yellow compared to everything I've seen for the v1.

 

First batch was more yellow yes, don't still have it though only the v2 now

 

I can understand that some the light up features were frustrating to install and switch on but it's a shame Zeta scrapped them in v2 and for me it's a bit of a downgrade... I'm glad I own my v1

Late to the game again here but is it a definite thing that the version 2 does not have the headlights and taillights LED lights? I'd sell my kidney to get my hands on a v1 if that's the case.

 

My version two copy did not have lights and according to the customer support at showz second edition dropped them

After thinking about it for a month or two, I decided to buy this (the issues with the Transcraft version also played a factor). I haven't transformed him yet, but I've been enjoying the robot mode. It's not totally accurate to the onscreen appearance, and it's too big for the MPMs (I still have the Transform Element version as my MPM scale Bumblebee), but it's still a fun figure to own and to mess with.

I'm more than likely won't be putting batteries in, as I'm not the biggest fan of light-up features, but it's nice they're there. Also, I don't see myself transforming this figure anytime soon, I've seen the VW Beetle mode of TC's and TE's Bumblebees, this one is just that but bigger.

 

Very late to the game and sorry to resurrect a dead thread but I think I have the V2. But want to be sure before I buy too many batteries. Picked this guy up this weekend from TFCon at the toy dojo booth. It was between this and zeta. Since I have freedom leader I wanted the larger size plus the cleaner vehicle mode was the selling point, plus $30 price difference. Zeta was cheaper. Anyhow enough rambling. Can anyone tell if this it the v2? No haven’t opened the instructions.
