I did not like Bioshock Infinite. It dragged on way too long.

A FP spoken monologie that is meant to "pump up" the player joining in a multiplayer game. I don't need monologue, I need shhhh so I can figure out where I am and everyone else is so I don't go kaboom in the first ten seconds after launch (still looking at you, broken matchmaking in Squadrons' Quick Match dogfights).

I don't mind recharging energy shields in shooters.

Apperantly that's a BIG sore spot for some people.

I think you'll find that isn't going to be an unpopular opinion at all.

tbh, I think a lot of things would be better than cyberpunk 2077.

FPS shooters should all have switchable left or right sided shooting styles.

Cell based graphics are all a gamer really needs, because no one is counting the nosehairs off of your targets in HD/4K.

Damn. Now that's some manly marksmanship!

For the record I do agree with you.

I wouldn't go so far as to say that realism has no place in videogames, but I do bemoan the fact that as photo-realistic graphics become more and more achievable, the industry tends toward that as a mark of quality, relegating more stylish/stylistic efforts to the indie realm. There's exceptions of course, such as the Ratchet & Clank franchise and a lot of Nintendo's output. But you'll almost never see something as stylistically daring as something like Furi from a Triple-A dev.

I feel there's a big difference between needing everything is needlessly in HD (Ghost Recon, for example; everything in C2077, or so I hear, but I wouldn't know because I don't have a machine that can run it at >10 fps) and HD where it's effective and lovely (GOW, HZD) in AAA titles. I would love to see more cel and cartoon graphics in modern console releases that doesn't have to be overly silly. I mean, SSBU kind of straddles that line, but is left in the brawler universe. It'd be fun to see a space shooter along the lines of BOTW graphics, for example.

I'm not a graphic snob by any means, but FF7 is hilariously ugly. Everytime I see his little barbell arm...thingies flapping along, I laugh.

Cyberpunk 2077 is a fun game. If you compare it to other 3D open world RPG action games like those that Bethesda makes it’s as good as those games.

What hurts the game was it being overhyped and having to much time in the spotlight. Bethesda and Ubisoft games have similar issues.

Yeah, I think I read even the game's creators commented on the wildly different models used throughout the game for each character. Between the models used in exploration, battle, and some pre-rendered cutscenes, I believe there are 3 different ones with different proportions for each character. But yeah, Cloud looks like Popeye with those arms.

The most treasured and slurpily loved Indie scene of games is full of just as many wankers as the AAA scene, they just tend to be a different flavour of wanker. Sure, the head honchos of outfits like EA or Activision or Take Two present like Daleks in human skin, but Devlolver Digital's guys all come across as try-hards who want every other thing they say to be a fucking meme image by the end of the current E3.

Speed running is kind of dumb for games that aren't time-based or don't have things linked to multiple playthroughs. Why make a game you like take as little time as possible?

Doubly so when glitches and the like are involved to make it happen. To me that's like winning a game by cheating.
