I think that's why preorders that have estimates for 2 months from now should have notifications tied to them. People forget. When canceling orders you might accidentally skip one. Sorry you're Mr.Perfect buddy.

True, though in some cases, not necessarily with Hasbro Pulse, where you're not able to change your payment method.

I get the problem people have, but I'm not sure what option they think Pulse has. Just sit on a figure someone hasn't paid for in the hopes they eventually come through?

If the concern is a person loses their PO... that's what'd happen anyway even if Hasbro gave them a chance to back out once the item came in stock.

Without sounding rude, this isn't a Hasbro/Pulse problem. Their job is to deliver stock.

If you've got the money for one payment option... you've got the money for another.

You absolutely can change your payment method on pulse unless it has already charged

How is that a Pulse problem? If money is so tight an early delivery could wreck you... wouldn't you be tracking that stuff pretty close?

    Look how easy it is...

People are complaining about the lack of notification.

Yes, and that's why I said - "not necessarily with Hasbro Pulse". Using the same card/payment method with other sellers/vendors, can also hit people with those unexpected charges. So, in their eyes, it would have been nice to have a notification.

    1) Give people advanced notification when a product is coming in. This is still Hasbro Pulse. There is no good reason why the manufacturing and shipping branches of HasTak can't communicate with the shop which interfaces directly with their customers/fans.

    2) Be better at estimating delivery time when products drop. Being off by 2 weeks is one thing. Being two months early is another.

I agree that if you don't have the money, and I've been there in the past, you have to prioritize. But for those who have the money but need to juggle the logistics due to timing, they shouldn't have to deal with this FOMO.

Writing down dates doesn't help when stuff shows up months early. Money isn't tight for me, but like I said already I just want a notification when a pre-order comes in stock. It is a matter of making the service better, not money. Every other retailer does it.

Wow all this is really making me wonder how it's gonna work out with the Omega Supreme four of my friends preordered for me. It would have to be the one who lives the farthest away and is working two jobs that actually placed the order, LOL. Kinda hoping it is early, since feels like less time to go wrong.

This is EXACTLY how I do it myself.

But imagine if all of those pulse orders you have listed hit next week with no notification.

Could you afford that $200 on such short notice(lack of notice)?

That's what happened to me. I was just lucky that I had the $ at the time. but it was still irritating.

    In summation:
It's not that preorders are coming early that people are taking issue with. It's Pulse not giving notification that preorders will be arriving early, which is the issue.

    A simple notification of:

We just wanted to let you know that product name will be arriving in the next 3 Days. If you are unable to pay due to the earlier than expected release date, you may cancel this item now.

    Thank You,
    Retailer Name

In other news, FedEx may have lost my MP Spinout :cry

So, if you hear colorful metaphores emanating from Wisconsin, you know why.

I can see it from the retail side though. With Covid Restrictions, manufacturers are getting product out as soon as they can. Product can just randomly show up at the retailer's warehouses. It's then up to the retailers as to how quickly they put that product out.

This ridiculous pandemic has pretty much screwed every asset of society up.

I don't preorder Transformers unless I know I can afford them regardless of when it drops.

And with COVID screwing with shipping you don't want to be overly aggressive on ship dates because you don't want a retailer to count on a certain date and then you fail to hit it.

Yeah, if you don't track your orders and limit your spending, you're asking for trouble. It's basic adulting!
