I really despise the DX Chogokin line! I hate 'em so much that I snagged this two again! I' swearing off the VF1S Roy (if I can still find one and the upcoming VF1D) and anything else related to this line. .............help.
I hesitated. Mainly, I wasn't sure if I wanted the 1D since I sold off my 1:60 scale Yamato version earlier this year. The accessories won me over, though, but I missed Big in Japan's window. I ended up going with anime-export instead, so the shipping payment will come later. I'm cautiously optimistic that we might have more delivery choices on release day than we do now...*crosses fingers*
Yamato and, maybe Arcadia can't hold a candle against the DX line. Try getting it if you can. I'm already backed up with SS and Kinggdom that I'm gonna swear off that beautiful VF1D
while it is certainly far from my favorite VF-1 variant, is nonetheless VERY iconic. in a perfect world, you bet i'd own one. i'd own EVERY DX release. down here on planet earth as a mere mortal of very limited means, i count my lucky stars to own the two DXes that i do have, and indeed i'm quite content at that to just call it a decent day...

LoL! The struggle collecting transforming bots and mecha is real! Seriously, I'm trying to be picky about what I buy these days, but Hasbro, Bandai, and even LEGO are not making it easy. As for the VF-1D, I'm definitely picking up a copy. It'll fit in with the other TV Valkyries that I've been collecting at this scale. The only one left on my list after this is Kaki's TV 1A, and who knows if Bandai will even get to it? On the Yamato/Arcadia side of things, I've put too much effort into my DYRL collection at that scale to switch and start over. IMO, it's like progressing from one chapter of a book to the next. Also, it'll be truly sweet if we see more Macross Hi-Metal R releases in 2021.

Welcome @Fafnir72 ! Great to see you and your Macross collection here. I gotta say I disagree on your comment that Arcadia VF-1's don't hold a candle to the DX but it's all good.
