This thing has caught my attention again, but I can't decide if I want the Nuclear Blast version or the regular Jungle version.

 

I'll have my nuclear blast soon. Will decide which i like better then. Hope we see something about the super trailer soon

 

I have the 3 versions of this mold and it would be a very hard choice picking a winner. If I had to choose which to keep, it would be a decision between nuclear and jungle, going to jungle with the upgrade kit they sold us later. It’s a matter of personal taste I guess since all three are top notch.

 

I have base Prime and Nuclear Blast. NB in Ultra Magnus colors with a hammer would be a clear winner for me.

 

Kim Jong Prime looks the best IMHO. How can you resist a bot whose tagline is Nuclear Blast is the right of all sentient beings?

 

I call it "Nucleon Blast" as it seems to be more "canon" that way.

Btw, from to the other poster above, what "upgrade kit"?

 

There was an upgrade kit for the red/blue and the camo versions that had a different head and missiles

This is either a joke or the most extreme case of shoehorning I've ever seen. I mean when I think of icbm I don't think monkey. Unless they make the ICBM a banana. In which case insta purchase.

I'm just waiting for them to put the Nuclear Blast version out in urban camo colors (or traditional Optimus colors) so I have an excuse to buy another version of this bad boy. I just can't justify having two jungle camo versions.

 

Apparently, this may be a reference to the fact that the monkey kings staff can enlarge to major size, so maybe that's what the missile is. If that's the cases, sad they didn't make their own staff to go with it

 

To give it more context, this deco is officially licensed and based on the 60s Chinese Animated Film "The Monkey King"

So basically this deco is a huge chunk of Chinese patriotism in your living room.

 

Entirely uninspired. They should of made the ICBM be the monkeys banana. Then we could of had countless reviews comparing the ICBM to real bananas and if bananas belong in an masterpiece display. Following this Bobby skull face could release a video debating the purpose of fruit in a plastic robot display only to come to the usual middle of the road no position decision and tell the audience he's OK with putting certain fruits in detolfs. Soon the entire 3rd party scene will devolve into whether legends or mp scale fruit is best and the new 3rd party developer lemon tree will corner the market by making actual lemon themed transformers. TFC really dropped the ball on this one.
