San Bruno Calif got two, left two will offer up but I don't want to go anywhere near the post office till after Christmas (both have been claimed for now)
They're gone from my 2 local Targets, drove an hr away to Waco and they just got them in but they won't put them out bcuz it's a vendor item and they don't know when the vendor will be in to stock them
Well y'all put me down as looking for the Splinter/Baxter set, this situation sucks, I'm more upset with Target's inconsistencies than Neca right now, stores that do the right thing vs the wrong thing, idk what to even think now, no wonder scalpers be winning
Targets approach to these neca things is so bizarre. Usually popfindr doesn't work because target doesn't even show them in stock because they are vendor items, but the krang set they were all able to look up via their dpci. The Splinter set, much like many sets before it, I am not so sure if they can. They looked it up by dpci yesterday at my local one and said this is a vendor item so I cant tell if it is in stock or if another store has it. How can they look up the krang but when they typed in the Splinter one the machine said vendor item on it? I saw the screen so he wasn't just brushing me off. It literally says at the top of their little hand held "vendor item".
I can't get Pop Finder or Brick Seek to work at all for Krang? I put the DCPI in, but nothing comes up?
Target may have changed the DPCI very recently as they’ve done that this month for other figures. I just tried searching for it but wasn’t able to find it.
I can tell you that Killeen was able to see b&s set and showed coming on the 21st.....I've already told you how that went, and Waco saw it, sent me to the electronics who also saw it in stock but again.....yeah Wife wanted to get out the house so South Austin here we come, gonna check out Cedar Park and the Lakeline area
Just a reminder, I’m still in need. I don’t mind paying a small markup if needed. HEY!!!! HEY!!!!! I'm still looking for Krang & Baxter/Splinter Set!!!!
That was one of the neat things about the Playmates figures of the 80s. After Bebop and Rocksteady, a lot of the bad guy figures looked twisted and gruesome. Most of it was just hidden in a lack paint applications. There were genuinely nasty figures getting slipped passed what constituted as censorship back then.
Thanks to Cheetimus Prime, yes. But I'm still on the lookout for Splinter/Baxter. No luck so far. Now that the movie Splinter/Shredder set is finally popping up in Wal-Marts (only a month and a half late according to the earlier schedule), I can add more stores back into the rotation while making a Target run.
I hated all those gross looking figures. Same reason I never liked the toxic avenger. Also the huge abundance of "slime" back then. I have no idea how that took off lol. So much slime
Mutagen Man, Pizzaface, Muckman and Scumbug all really toed the line for what I considered "acceptable" gross as a child. All that wild detail, the expressions on their faces, the tragic backstories. Toxie and pals on the other hand? A little too out there, like the weirder Garbage Pail Kids cards. And I agree on the slime. MOTU and Ghostbusters, then TMNT and such... Meanwhile, the figures in the later series of TMNT felt really unimaginative or executive influenced, like "Hey kids like animals, let's put more animal mutants in the line!" And you'd get Doctor El, Halfcourt, whatever. Antrax was cool, though.
