Didn’t know that was unpopular. I’ve never met a TF fan that didn’t love the soundtrack to Prime, wether they thought the show was good or not. That score always gives me chills.

Another good pick. Fierce Battle! Super Mode in particular was always something that came to mind when I thought of that show.

 

I actually do really like Energon Rodimus. His character arc wasn’t handled nearly as well as it should have been but the idea behind the character was really cool and so was his design. However, IDW Rodimus is better. Not sorry.

Not gonna lie, I'm not too much a fan of EVO. It's probably one of those cases where I get sick of it after enough plays, though.
Now "Dream Again", though...

 

The beginning of Dream Again sounds like it could play during the "Gurren Lagann" eyecatches. I know it was used as part of the bumpers in Japan which makes it better. It's like "Row, row, fight the power!" but Transformers. I would love to see that in a TRIGGER made TF anime.

 

Personally I love EVO. But Dream Again is awesome. Doesn’t get enough attention really.

 

I never read the Marvel comics, but in my opinion, their dinosaur forms would be appropriate for prehistoric times, but irrelevant in the time at which they were “dug out”. Just as the other Cybertonians aboard the Ark were reconfigured in 1984, so should Grimlock et. al. when they were rediscovered. At that point, a dinosaur form makes no sense.

It's good. But I can't decide which one is better, the original or the Japanese one

 

I personally prefer the original theme, since from what I remember Animated fell into the trap of many western transformers shows brought over to japan, cringy abridged style dubbing with live action bits, so the more epic feeling theme doesn't really fit, it is a nice song on it's own though

 

Actually it wasn’t really what most consider “Prehistoric times” (Aka the era of dinosaurs) when Grimlock and his crew were re-activated by the ark to combat shockwave

Remember the arc crashed on earth about 4 million years ago......The best Estimates on when the dinosaurs went extinct is about 65 million years ago

what happened In Marvel was that Shockwave Landed in the savage land, an area on earth in which dinosaurs still exist even in modern marvel times.....So the ark re-configured Grimlock and the others to appear like the dominant life forms in the Savage Land

The way I always thought it was that the ark was only capable of reconfiguring a cybertronian one time..... and the ark had already Reconfigured the Dinobots into Dinosaurs

I know there’s no solid evidence to back that up, but if a transformer Could be reconfigured haphazardly then I’m sure at least one of them would’ve done it more often to upgrade themselfs

 

This makes the story so much worse.

Regardless, I don't see why there would be some limitation on reconfigured alt modes. Most characters have changed alt modes many times since 1984.

Transformers need to die/take a break and is suffering massive franchise exhaustion ever since it re-peaked in the mid 2000.

Edit: Just so we are clear, it isn't that I now hate Transformers. However its become clear to me that since the 2000 the franchise has become too stuck in its self-referential, self feeding cycle of always doing the same things over and over when it isn't being too pretentious with the comics. Transformers is exhausting itself as a franchise and running out of ideas. As some people pointed out, the entire shtick of Transformers in the 2010 to 2020 was referencing past series. When we it 2030 or 2040, will anyone crave for a revival of the 2010-2020 years? It won't because there is nothing to it.

Its running of nostalgia fumes by now.

Eh I wouldn't say the franchise has to go on hiatus as long as HasTak can actually do something new that isn't heavy in nostalgia pandering and the g1 pandering evergreen designs. If they bring back the creative freedom they had during the UT era with modern engineering it could be something really special.
