I hate people who scalp stuff. It makes it harder for people to get what they want as they should be able to.

YET...I don't like it when people chastise me because I bought something from a scalper. "You're contributing to the problem! They would all stop if people wouldn't buy them!" This is true, who wants to pay more for something than it should be? I sure don't. Still, if I missed out on something (didn't know it was released or coming, didn't have the time or money or desire to want it at the time, whatever). Sometimes you don't have an option.

Should I just NOT buy it even if I can afford the "late tax"? Sure, I could make myself miss out and always go "Wish I had got that one" but I didn't and make a personal statement. Lets be honest. SOMEONE is going to buy that item. Someone is always going to scalp. A perfect world isn't going to happen ever. If people were all nice to each other this would be a great world. If people didn't scalp we could all get what I want. Isn't going to happen.

So I ended up paying more on that one occasion or another. It sucks but a year later I don't see that missing money, I see that figure on the shelf and am glad I got it. Blame the scalper but don't blame the people who are caught in the situation and have to play the late tax game. It's not going to stop so why deprive yourself to make a statement no one cares about or will change anything?

 

disagree with first part but I would LOVE a real mp carbot sized crasher with an optional toy head so its not always a chick. lol. yeah i know about the dx9 one but the alt mode is so far off and the bot mode isn't crashery enough. seeker sized leader 1? could not buy that fast enough...especially if it was more updaetd style likt he action toys one, and also had a super accurate alt mode. always thoguh defendor was cool too...yeah mp that thing.

 

I’m not sure if this counts, but sometimes, when a product/company gets too popular, I tend to stay away from it. (Happens a lot for FT in my case)

 

I think they tried that, I'm sure I saw a mp style bike robo, not the small one from years ago, it was like 7 or 8 inches I think? Was an official product iirc.

 

I like hunting for the best deal on a bot, more than the bot itself.

 

Scalping is why I barely go after Fanstoys . Between limited preorders that sell out in minutes and inflated prices by both scalpers and sometimes even Fanstoys themselves, trying to buy their figures are a lot like buying special Nintendo products, a comparison even more apt because the few I have managed to reasonably get have been top notch and I really want to get more, but are also almost never worth the hassle to get

 

I understand you, I think that the main reason is seeing that figure every day all day everywhere, happened with Challenger, Perukill, every single Titan and FT figures too

 

Agree, people tend to be very forgiving of them when they screw up the QC or their figures have a design flaw...

"MP Scale Combiner" is a Stupid term, Combiners are anywhere from 2 to 2.5x The size of OP and Megs in G1, Dont get me started on IDW combiners.

MMC, GT, TFC, Fanshobby, and Maketoys are the best 3P companies right now.

 

that's why Rendsora > Dragoon, also, Dragoon is skinny af, no matter how articulated he is, he's too big and too skinny, most overrated figure of the year

 

Bayverse designs are going to be the end of 3rd Party and 3P companies need to drop all those designs and products immediately.

Seriously, 3P Bayverse is attracting the attention of Paramount, which WILL eventually force HasTak’s hand on all 3P. HasTak was content to look the other way before, and it would be best for everyone to return to that arrangement.
