To this day it still amuses me how absolutely none of the 'triple-changers' that are such in the movie have toys that properly make them into triple changers.. they just release one for each form, which tells me they probably shouldn't have been triple changers in the first place. :^)

I don’t know if they would do blitzwing since he’s still showing up in stores regularly

But if they're not triple changers, how could we get that totally cool trailerbait* scene where Shatter and Dropkick fly in, transform into cars for a bit, and then transform into robots? Wasn't that just the awesomest?

*If that's not a word, I'm coining it right now.

This is definitely one of those comments that’s just so funny, it makes you need to take a crap.

I’ll be back in a few minutes.

TBH? I'd want a bigger sized Shatter that can triple transform (and probably have her helmet look head as a pull-helmet gimmick).

I know Toyworld was supposed to be releasing a triple-changer Shatter, not sure if she's out yet, and I think they'll also be doing Dropkick. Hasbro hasn't done a triple changer in a while, I don't think. Last one I remember is Animated Blitzwing, but I haven't really kept up with the main line since Prime ended until this year, so I probably missed a few.

toyworld works at the speed of Toyworld, so hopefully they’ll get Shatter out before 2021 is finished. I’m very excited about that one.

Every voyager figure in Titans Return was a triple changer, iirc.

Does Siege Soundwave count with his officially acknowledged lamp post mode?

So it sounds like Hasbro's excuse for not doing voyager class triple changers for Dropkick and Shatter is laziness then? That sounds accurate enough. Voyagers would have fit better in scale with the SS line anyway I think.

Triple changers are relatively common in Generations, but a rare sight in the movie lines (presumably because it's already hard enough to accurately replicate two modes of the movie character designs, let alone 3).

Do any of the leakers know how extensive this line is, in terms of total number of waves and/or figures?

Vehicle mode yes, robot mode, maybe not. Unfortunately if the robots from the Bumblebee movie were in true relative scale in the Studio Series line, then the compromise to maintain relative scaling would’ve probably killed sturdiness if they were triple changers, to the point where it might not even be practical. Imagine, SS-01 is already bad enough as is just transforming between 2 modes. Imagine having to transform into another mode that’s physically substantially larger while maintaining the already short robot mode and compact car mode. Disaster. I wouldn’t mind bigger ones that were out of scale but big enough to triple change, have relatively kibble free vehicle modes and full articulation. However I’m in the minority and Studio Series is known for emphasis on relative scaling. So what I suggested probably wouldn’t fly.

Siege Soundwave’s lamp post mode is a tribute egg, not the real third mode
