not to shock you all. I just called Zing pop culture store that I ordered unicron from and they told me that estimate date is.... get ready... . December...... 20....21. ...

 

Zing always puts their ETA at December of the year its going to be released in when there hasn't been an official month set.

 

That doesn't surprise me much. Relax, it's all good.

The computer system just needs to have a placeholder release date. Expect that date to be adjusted whenever HasLab make an official announcement.

Again, relax, we're going to get our giant toy as soon as it's ready.

In other news, I'm within spitting distance of paying off both my Unicrons at EB Games.
Every week I pay $12.50 on each, with the goal of having it all paid off before release day.

Hasbro Pulse customer service says “shipping in Spring of 2021”. We recently changed our address and notified them and they provided that info

Spring = March at the earliest. Yuk, we were looking at end if January or beginning of February fairly recently... oh well, plenty of time to reinforce shelving at least!

 

He showed up in the Earthrise trailer so maybe we’ll get a bit of Unicron love there to hold us over

 

We were never looking at a specific month, the only official date has been quarter 1 2021, which march is a part of, so that is going to be the likely release month

 

There was talk a couple of months ago that retailers were being told stock was going to hit at the end of January. I believe Kapow were the retailer cited, and they were the Hasbro reseller for the UK (and possibly Europe). Could have been jungle drums, or a plan that's since shifted, but I distinctly recall that information being out there.

I'm not fussed either way. It comes when it comes.

 

Talk from who? Because it didn't come from any official channels and there is at least one leaker on these boards that likes to make up behind the scenes information

 

It’s hard to nail these things down. According to Hasbro the estimated shipping dates for G2 Megs and the Transformers: Prime anniversary figures were in Jan / Feb next year, and they arrived a week or two ago. I think everything is just a guide, these projected release dates are not an exact science. Probably even less so for something like this

 

That's part of my point, we were never told January or February by anything official, so it never should have been used as a guide for anyone. All we were told is Q1 2021, which can mean anytime time from Jan 1 2021 to March 31 2021. Hasbro was smart and gave themselves a larger than normal estimated window and has not offered anything more specific

 

Can't recall, but there was a report of Kapow suggesting January. I took it as optimistic, but welcome, but if it's not accurate we don't lose anything.

I personally won't be anticipating the release until HasLab tell us, so whatever's been said is supposition at best until confirmation comes from the horse's mouth.

Ready is ambiguous. Ready to ship from Hasbro to retailers (most likely)? Ready to ship from retailers to customers? Ready to get boxed up before shipping?

 

Exactly. But the inference in the post, especially because they posted it, would be the first one as you say, perhaps the second. It's possible it means ready to ship from HasLab, which might mean anything for the retailers!

Hopefully the plan is to have all stockists ready to ship to their final customers at the same time, so it's not weeks before some buyers get it. Especially those who bought from Hasbro crowdfunding partners, rather than random retailers who bought for resale, because they essentially bought directly from Hasbro.

 

Yea, that's my take on it. I'm betting that it'll be ready to ship to retailers by end of January, take about a month or two depending on a few factors for that and then be ready to ship from retailers sometime in late march/early april at the latest, but that's just my guess

 

Quite agree. Energon Unicron toy is my first Unicron toy ever and the one that really introduced me to the character. Wasn't aware that Armada Unicron was a thing and didn't know he was in G1.
