there looks like a possible hinge in the middle of the tail, prob to allow it to fold for transformation. it might allow for a slight "wiggle" side to side articulation.

I caught that, too, but my assumption is that there’s one on each side and so it is really just for transformation.

Most likely, I’m just gunna display him in bot mode nearly all the time, and only have him in Dino mode when taking pictures.

But, it would still be nice to have that articulation for when I am snapping some photos.

 

I feel like they are overdoing the samurai armour slatted plate style surfaces but otherwise it's quite nice.... I would like to take the horns off tho.

 

Yknow, if they announced the other dinobits, im sure sales would go up. But on the other hand if they don't, these will be more widely available. Hmm. What to hope for...

 

This Grimlock kicks all the butts and takes heads, not names.

 

I’m perfectly fine with there just being a Grimlock, but I’d probably bite on the whole crew, too.... probably.

 

I think I would be up for a few more Dino samurais if they were like IF's previous Dinobots; probably my favorite version of Sludge with his lantern jaw and war hammer.

 

He looks cool, but it also looks like it could easily be remolded into an IDW Grimlock, so I’m going to wait for that. Same with Ratchet and Ironhide.

i might double dip on this, just like i did with HeatDeath. it just looks too good in both bot and alt. but now that i got Cryotek ordered, i prob will just sell off one of the two HeatDeath i have. and then when IF releases a redeco of Grimlock, i'll do the same!  

i'd definitely be in for the whole crew if they look as good as this. but i doubt sales would increase much if they did. this thing is great on it's own not needing incentive to complete a set.

 

Grim is the best looking one of the new reveals. I’m interested in this figure.

 

This is exactly the sort of thing that keep me in the hobby. A samurai robot t-rex.

 

Yeah, I'm just saying that some might be more interested if there's a whole team. I for one, think a swoop with a crossbow, and one of the others with the heavy blade would be tight

 

Yeah, that's also true. I just wonder if those not interested in another standalone grimlock would be more interested in a team. But this still looks pretty great

 

Looks cool but I was hoping for idw grimlock.
