Pretty much sums up the character Sandstorm.
Chopper is the best mode followed by robot mode. Car is okay.
Enough to scratch my Sandstorm itch.

Lol, less than one month and I couldn't wait and pulled the trigger, ordering him from Robo Toy Base (old Chimungmung) for $67 shipped.
After some minutes with a black marker, I think I don't dislike him.

 

I pulled the trigger as well, because it was available at a good discount on show.z, 60 or 65 shipped. Got a mail about damaged box, fine by me, but got a 5,- extra discount, lol.

All in all, I'm kinda happy that I pulled the trigger. Looks better in hand than I expected. Tried to transform it to car mode without instructions, took me 2 hours, but once you know where everything goes, it's not that difficult anymore. Everything has a a place to peg, which is really nice. And quality feels very good.

I'm kinda digging the car mode, nice big armoured chunk on wheels. Wonder how the helicopter mode will be

Nice transformation video...amazed at your patience ! Haha. Reminds me why I don't transform mine!   Nothing intuitional about it.

 

Seems nobody will make MP sandstorm soon, I will happily keep this, the transformation is painful because too many steps, but not difficult and build quality is good. The only bad thing is the car mode while the helicopter and robot mode are both looking good.

Funny, i like this sandstorm more than the generations, and more than any 3p springer even though i like springer's design and as a character and not sandstorm

I wonder if there's still a market for this and Y-01 Provider (Octane) that UT just re-issued.

Looking at past comments, it wasn't that well received when it was revealed in 2015?

Having said that, I'm thinking whether to get it.   Not as Sandstorm, but just a random 3-in-1 robot. (I am seldom interested outside of G1.)

Was hoping show.z would comment on if they'll stock the reissue, if not then i'll jump on Baba's site & get it there i suppose. By the time i got into collecting MP, he was already long gone from most stores...at least at a reasonable price.

 

Do you guys think this is our only chance at an MP Sandstorm? I really don't like it's alt modes. But I also want to be a completionist.

 

I'm sure there will be another one. But it will be bigger and cost you $400.

 

This guy always deserved a bit more love. He's a nice figure to be honest, alt modes are hit or miss but for the most part I'm glad I got him when he first came out. He's one of those figures your not afraid to handle if that makes sense. Yeah transformations are an explosion in a panel factory but I do think they did a decent job on the alt modes. Their not perfect and slightly deviate but it's still a solid representation I'd say.
