It's just Halo stuff. The CoD sets are still over priced.

The store I stopped at today had a dozen of the turret sets and one each if the 12b heroes. With the half off promotion they were $2.50.

 

Why does that not surprise me. Both of those new figures look like chonkers...

 

So they're making room hopefully for the Walmart Canada sets they should've had out by now.

 

Hah, yeah, I hadn't paid attention to that armor type, I guess.

Mega may be reaching the limits of their ability to make certain armors look good at the two inch height. Might be time to reconsider the armor separate from the torso design if this is where it's headed.

I took advantage of the 50% sale on MC Halo going on at Dollar General and got 2 of the UNSC Spartan III Customizer packs for $5 each. The store also had plenty of Exosuits and some of the 4 packs. I never see any Blind Bags at the DGs I hit. Are the blind bags supposed to be next to the other MC Halo items or do you all find them in another spot in Dollar Generals? I would love to find some older blind bag figures.

 

Remember when scalpers were stalking Ross stores to sell those sets for far too much?

 

Most of the DGs by me have the blind bags near the registers somewhere with the other impulse items.

 

Oh nice, that new blind bag set looks great. I probably bought over 20 suicide grunts from the last series. Always happy to build up my covenant ranks.

 

Opened up the blind bags I found yesterday, one of the blue Spartans came with two heads and no back to his armor.

 

They're out there, if you can get them to sell them to you.

 

I hope they are as available as the 12b batch.

 

I've seen multiple posts of them showing up in Walmarts on reddit, Twitter. But some were indicating no sku showing up. Decided to do my own check, and sure enough, fresh case. Scanned beforehand and it said "see an associate."

I figured no sweat, I'll take a s12 or two up front and tell them to scan those. It's the same product.

So I did and immediately she's like, if they're not in the system we can't sell them. I told her that's baloney, you don't put things out you don't intend to sell. She didn't have a answer other than, "well not all of us stock the floors" or something (admitting whoever did screwed up I guess). I let it go, at least there.

So good luck out there. Not sure what the floor date is; before x-mas, after x-mas.

 

I usually don't have that problem. If anything, I get asked if I remember what the price is and they enter it at the checkout. Or, like you did, I take another that I know will read with me.

Ah well, I have a feeling I will have to find them first before I can worry about pricing them. Too bad EE and BBTS don't have the case listed. I'd even take a ToyWiz listing if it meant avoiding the hunt. I also wish they'd stop putting troop builders in the Heroes line up.

 

I adore this poster. I have mine framed. Someday I can hang it on a wall. 1980's MOTU had wonderful art.
