Try freezing it and then warming the plastic up a bit so the plastic expands while the metal stays compact

Are you sure that is a screw and not a rivet or pin? I ask because I can't see any obvious threads. Is there plastic stuck in the threads?

I would measure the screw if you can and try to buy one the same size. If it is a screw, the factory would have used a special type of screw designed to self-tap into plastic. Those screws are actually slightly triangular on the thread portion but it's so subtle you would not be able to see it. If you can't find an actual screw for plastic, a screw for tapping into wood MIGHT work but you would need something very small and you may need to shave the sharp point down or something. Maybe try a hobby shop to see if they sell screws for tapping into plastic? Or McMaster-Carr. Try to match your screw size to something from here: McMaster-Carr

For whatever reason for a brief moment I thought this was a thread about a G1 MP Jazz, then I remembered that'll probably never happen.

Either way, if someone were to hook me up with a G1-colored MPM Jazz I'd totally go for that since I still have the G1 Deluxe class from the first movie and he's glorious.

Definitely a pin/rivet. Is the hole it goes into damaged?

i think those are usually installed at the factory with heat. Or maybe just pressure. They deform the plastic. To remove them you heat them up and the plastic melts enough for you to remove it. In theory! I have tried to fix one of those on two figures and both times I ended up breaking the figure. I would try to get an arm or replacement figure from the store if you can.

That figure seems to have pretty bad quality. I have two of them and both are messed up in different ways. On one the left collar piece was glued in place and snapped on first movement. So that one stays in alt mode. The other had a faulty headlight that keeps falling out so that one stays in bot mode....

Is one of them the Japanese domestic release? Or one is Hasbro Asia and one is the European version if that exists? Very odd that one says made in China and the other Vietnam.

Well the Japanese release has the character name written in Japanese but it sounds like that’s not the case. I have no idea why they are different. They might still both be legit though. Sometimes they add a sticker on the bottom face for different languages etc.

Dang it, the first time I transformed him to car mode went great. Everything tabbed in nicely.
I just transformed him to car mode again and everything was good except for the last part I did. I can't get one of his arms to sit flush. Grrr....

I figured out the problem! One of the collar pieces wasn't pushed down all the way and was getting in the way of the arm/ door. He's all good now.

Anyone know where I could buy jazz? I took a look at the BMB ko but I don’t think the quality is up to par
