NewAge going back and giving Prowl a toy deco gives me hope they might give more of their older releases EX or toy decos: Thundercracker, Bumblebee and Brawn might look good with toy decos.

I like the stickers, but I don’t have any other clear window vehicles at all so I’m cool with sticking with the old one. Even if he is the only one with loose legs, of the three, wonder if they’re gonna tighten him up.

what’s shocking is over a year later and MS still hasn’t got around to their Prowl. Was their Bluestreak a poor seller or something?

 

Maybe? And if he was I would think Prowl would sell better; I could understand canceling Smokescreen.

Oh, thank you! I really wanted this version, but couldn't justify the almost $50USD BBTS is charging for him. This is a much more reasonable price.

 

Yeah, I told them I'd like to see them keep up with NewAge more regularly, but I saw the $50 for this and the $85 for Galvatron and nope'd right out of there. I thought the $40 asking price for some of the Datsun/Porsche variants was really pushing it. Remember when people were complaining about the MP cars going for $60-$80? Yikes.

 

I checked my BBTS history, and I paid 29US (all prices will be in USD) for the original Prowl. That's reasonable, IMO. Then Bluestreak was 35, hmm okay, and now they've raised the prices across the board, selling the regular Prowl for 39, and most of the other Datsun variants for that as well. Why?

But $50 for the toy version Prowl (which they list as an animation version for some reason) is just outrageous. I don't know how anyone could justify that for a 3 inch Legends figure.

 

People have been justifying it just fine, talking about paint and parts count etc...
I think 50 usd for legends Galvatron is outrageous, but 300 for MP Galvatron is outrageous too.

 

i'm hoping to find and get toy version for less than $35. i got jazz for $29, and the 3 datsuns for $27 or less. right now i'm seeing H3EX PP for $29.99 + $9 shipping on eBay.

Yes. A simple repaint of an existing mold is going to squeak out before Chinese New Year and before a brand new, highly engineered Galvatron. There’s still time for a surprise, but I wasn’t expecting Galvatron in January. We’ll get that flood of him and his variations after CNY.

 

Wow, the packaging is a reference to Kenner's Robocop and the Ultra Police line. That's unexpected and kind of awesome.

 

The plate yeah, but the art itself is a nice nod to the g1 box art.
