I’m beginning to believe, based on what I’m hearing from work and bits of news, that between the workload and Covid might be a larger and growing part of the delays.

 

Yeah I got the delay email as well. It's like they're trying to shake some of us off  

 

I mean, it’s still early and could play out similarly to SW/TC where there’s an eventual restock on the site. But if there’s no new stock in the next month or two, I’ll probably cash out.

I have Thrust favorited on the website, he was showing as out of stock in New Hartford NY. Which makes me think they may have gotten some. Wonder if anyone found him there who is on these boards?

Just face it! Hasbro probably sank that fucking shipment, because they now feel like they did to good of a job on the figures, and are trying to stop us from getting them! These are definitive G1 Versions of figures that will complete a lot of collectors definitive G1 collections, and Hasbro now knows it! Hasbro is most likely intentionally making these figures as hard as possible to get!!!! Maybe $100 bucks isn't so bad, if eventually the figures skyrocket up to $1000 bucks, because everything Hasbro starts making for the mainline begins to look like Cyberverse quality! Just look what they did with the new Kingdom Bee vs Netflix Bee!!! Things just aren't adding up!

 

No but it means they're liable to receive some soon. Going from not sold here to out of stock means they probably have a shelf tag now.

 

I have been watching the Thrust listing here in LA religiously. I have seen him go from Not Available to Temporarily Out Of Stock at a few stores. My read on this is they are allocated for that store but have not arrived yet.

 

Got the delay e-mail. I’m okay with it. target has been pretty reliable for me with the exclusives (had no problem getting Thundercracker and Skywarp) and got a replacement Runabout quickly after they sent me a defective one.

Seems like the east coast is the last to receive this stuff. Our stock is probably sitting in a warehouse in Omaha.

 

It's kind of seemed that way over the past few months. For example, I pre-ordered Sunstreaker and Trailbreaker within a month before their release date. They had sold out long before, but would pop up again briefly from time to time. Anyway, the shipped out very quickly. And yet people who ordered much earlier got theirs delayed.

I wonder if who gets what when is a regional thing? When Runabout came out, I wasn't in the first group that got him shipped. When mine did ship, I noticed that another user here in my general area posted that his shipped on the same day. Hardly enough evidence though as it could easily be just a coincidence.

 

I was at my preferred Target, they had a shelf tag, but showed as 'not sold here' last I checked. That's what made me think the New Hartford store actually had it.

 

I still haven’t seen Wave 3 out East.

 

A few days ago, Google showed Thrust as 'available' at Target...but it wasn't there when I opened the Target app.

This is a fairly useless post, I suppose, other than to express the roller coaster ride of emotion that occurred during that brief instant.

At least I got a temporary dopamine rush out of it...followed by crushing despair.

 

Yeah, if Thrust is canceled, I'll probably use the G2 Sandstorm in his place.

 

Hmm. Like everyone else I had to approve delay on my Thrust orders - yes plural, I ordered 3 separate times since I've had less than 50% success rate with Target POs this year.

Just checked and now 1 of the 3 is "preparing to ship" - other 2 still showing as backordered. Which proves my point about having backups.

However - two months ago I also had a preorder change BACK from "preparing to ship" to "backordered" where it has stayed ever since. So I'm still holding my breath until it actually says "shipped." Actually, even until it's actually delivered!

Yep, I think just about everyone had to.

Really doesn't inspire confidence. I don't feel safe making unnecessary trips to big stores that are crowded during the height of the pandemic, especially with a record number of people just not caring about it, so if I can't get it online, I'm probably just not getting it.

 

I used popfindr to look up the inventory for Thrust, I noticed that the stores in my area were getting 1 unit (2 at the most) and quickly selling out.

I went to one near me this morning and snagged this bad boy. Whereas Runabout got 8 units per store, Thrust looks to be getting 1 per store.
