Hasbro are trying to compete with Core Class, but obviously it’s not gonna replace 3rd Party Legends Scale. It’s just more stuff to add.

Yup, that's the closest Hasbro will ever get to it, I think. They'll do simple, pocketbook-friendly figures at that SIZE. But I suspect they'll never do figures with the level of articulation and intricacy of 3P Legends. Nor would it makes sense for them to do so!

Now, Takara I could see maaaaybe dipping their toe in the "tiny, expensive, intricate adult-collectible" realm for Transformers. That's kinda what the short-lived Hybrid series was, after all.

But by and large, I think it's still primarily a 3rd-party niche.

I’ve always liked the smaller scale 3P legends market. MP is to big for things like combiners. Plus I’m not the biggest fan of big figures just because of personal space limitations.

Honestly, I\'ve gone from dipping my toe in Legends scale to have a couple of display bots with MMC Skylynx to actually considering ditching my MP collection and just keeping these. Another clever design from Newage and definite purchase for me.

Maaaan, these 3P companies are targeting me or something. This alt mode works better for Straxus than Galvatron in my opinion. And the ... the CHROME! Yessss

    Ah yes, the 21005 Boards.

Between this, the Marvel colours Galvatron and zeta Legends Superion, I’m seriously considering starting a Legends scale collection.
I’m insanely jealous of the options you guys have

I’ve needed this for so long. No hesitation here when the Preorder goes up. This’ll be my first non-Iron Factory 3P Legends figure.

Maybe we’ll get lucky and Hastak will do the same to their upcoming Galvatron.

Also, vote Spanner for Titan 2022!

I can't believe I'm saying this, I've had the same rule for transformers toys since I was five, because even then It made sense to me that I should only ever get one version of a mold no matter the repaint or retool, I'd just pick the version I liked the most

I have only ever broken this rule once, when I got the rotf Superion boxset.

And now Newage is making me break my rule again :p

This looks amazing. Why does it have to be legends size!! I need an awesome Straxus to go in my collection! The deluxe from 10 years ago is too small.

Holy cow, that metallic finish looks great! When I scrolled past this, I thought the thumbnail image was just a picture of his character model straight from the Marvel comics.

Any properly retooled tank former could work

An extensive retool of the cyberverse BAF deluxe Megatron for example, with a new weapon

Or even an extensive retool of SS rotf megatron, just retool the robot parts to be more blocky and squared off for example

Considering what they did to make SS Jetfires into the X-panse crossover fig, anything is possible now

Although I doubt hasbro would ever do it

It's always nice to see Straxus get some attention! Bot mode proportions are a bit off, but overall, this is a nice looking piece. Now, somebody get to work on a transformable Spanner/Space Bridge playset!

    Agreed!
So are you watching this HasTak..?
We know there's a Leader class Galvatron rumor out there for either Kingdom or SS86. So why not sell us a Straxus/Darkmount retool?

I'm sure Hasbro keeps an eye on 3rd party. Maybe if this thing is a hit, we could get something in the future. Clearly fan reaction has been extremely positive. This thing looks amazing. I may even dip my toe in the 3rd party water for it.

Straxus hit the gym in his younger days.  :p

Not a bad design.  Making the galvatron alt a thing that happens is actually very helpful for me.  Cars are everywhere, tanks and jets galore, but artillery, kooky or otherwise? Pretty rare.
