Got mine in yesterday, and I have to say I'm surprised with how much I like him. Especially since this mold looks terrible in all the promotional photos I've seen.
The headsculpt is this weird optical illusion where it looks fine in hand (from most angles), but in pictures it looks off in most angles.

I think he could've used a big G2 Decepticon symbol on his chest. Overall though, happy I got him (and hey, he can always double as a Beast Wars figure)

 

I just got a shipping notice from Hasbro for this beautiful beast.

 

I can live with these poses personally. Adds to the look that the gun is so strong he needs to stabilize himself when he fires it.

 

A single Nonnef 90 degree adapter does wonders for this figure. Though there really isn't anything you can do about the "sword" hanging off the back, without cutting the figure.

 

I got mine in just now. Mine unfortunately has derp eyes so I swapped it with my extra NF Meg's head.

 

Hey...a quick question over here.

Is this G2 Megatron some sort of store exclusive? Because I haven't seen him on Amazon from the official Transformers store, just some random dude selling him for like 40 dolars. 

 

It's a regular Generations Selects release. Not all sites have him in stock yet (and I think Amazon is irregular about stocking Selects in general).

 

I honestly can't recall any Selects release listed on Amazon.

My supplier hasnt received theirs yet, and I wonder if I Should keep the PO up.....

 

From what I've observed, Amazon.com per se doesn't offer Gen Selects figures, only 3rd party sellers on Amazon, that's why they're always some sort of mark up.

 

And I just got the invoice...

Look up Jada Toys Nano Metalfigs, they have a G.I. Joe 6 pack of 1.65" figures that includes Duke, Snake Eyes, Cobra Commander, Baroness, Destro and Storm Shadow.

 

I’ve got mad love for all the G2 covers, but this was always one of my favorites. Excellent work  

 

Mine just came in today and DAMN is he stunning. I love the orange eyes on him, and the headsculpt is definitely a whole lot better in person. My only real complaints are a lack of a spot to put the cannon on the shoulder, and the lack of the 'big stick' text on the cannon.

Almost makes me want to replace my siege Megatron for this guy, but I'm most likely gonna display him with my Predacons as Megastorm.

 

Saw on Shapeways a adapter for G2 Megatron, using his arm cannon.
