I was honestly imagining $200-250, but I wouldn't be surprised either way.

 

I'm saying $300 for the skeleton and the last member will be regularly priced (as in, they will not come together).

 

I'm more curious as to when the release date will be. With Smokey being pushed back to January, and no future releases confirmed, I wouldn't be surprised if Bandit & Trailer get released a fair bit later... maybe in the Thomas slot - October of next year.

 

I still believe Roadking price for Bandit, havent had any evidence so far of it not being around that price

 

No way. I am aware of what dalianjj said, but that's before the pandemic.

I am totally ready to skip FT's Menasor. I like FT's products, but dalianjj is not my homie. There's a limit to how much money I am willing to give him.

 

i think that makes sense. Between Dead End and all the Menasor parts, I think you are getting more bot than Road King. And maybe by a lot.

It will be a lot of parts size and weight wise. The detailed head, maybe an alternate face sculpt, alternate pieces, Blaster rifle, sword. It will have to have some heft to it.

To think Dead End with all Menasor parts will be anything less cost wise than RK is wishful thinking. I just wish they would offer a Dead End on it’s own. How many of you are actually going full Menasor? How many are keeping Stunticons just in Bot mode?

 

Agreed, definitely gonna be more expensive.

I'm personally gonna see this till the end, though I totally get your position, my guy. The higher price, whatever it'll be, is definitely gonna be in some way in some magnitude a dividing factor for some, imo.

 

Welp... Just paid $325 shipped for Motormaster on eBay. My sales thread will be back up this afternoon   

 

I really hope they keep their word that the last member plus the combiner parts will costs around $180...but at that time their triple changers were also supposed to be $140 and we know how things are now.

 

If I was FT, this is what I would do:

Separate Dead End and the trailer, but announce both at the same time to alleviate any fears of a repeat of the XTB trailer delay.

Charge the same for Dead End as the previous carbots.

Offer the trailer/combiner parts at as low a price as possible.

This would all add a nail to the XTB coffin, and position FT company that is fair and not just trying to charge as much as possible.

 

You can't do that (and won't) knowing what your brand gets away with though. They are now the Apple of 3P.

Especially with the FT set, I think a lot of us will display them in bot or alternate mode. I can’t see the majority going Menasor. Each part is expensive and looks great in it own right. Have the option for those that want Menasor to get a separate Trailer/Menasor parts.

You could probably get Smokey from a retailer when its released since people cancel their orders
