i just got Shonen jump vault access, and started reading One Punch Man from the beginning. Afterwards I was thinking about reading Naruto from beginning to end, which I’ve never done. I read the first couple volumes,I’ve read a few more recent chapters in jump, seen a couple show episodes, but never just read straight through.

My question is should I skip when they’re kids and go right to the “Shippuden” era?

I stopped reading/watching Naruto halfway but IMO I would read everything...it allows me to appreciate the creator’s vision.

That’s what I did with the Dragon Ball to Dragon Ball Z...and I didn’t regret it...well, except the Bluu saga, which I found to be disjointed...oh yeah, along with Hokuto Shin Ken...story wasn’t good for me after the storyline with Raoh ended.

I say go ahead and read whichever part you want to. That's the great part about a series of books. You can go forward and back and revisit any portion you feel like. It's always all there for you.

If you were reading it for the first time, that would be different. I'd say start from the beginning. But you've already read it all, so just enjoy yourself. You can reread the beginning again later, when you feel like it.

There are a number of series I've read from beginning to end multiple times, like YuYu Hakusho or Hunter X Hunter (well, as close to the end as HxH has gotten). But I've also gone back and just reread particular storylines like the Hunter exam or Greed Island. Or reread my favorite parts of Jojo part 4. It's fine.

I'd highly recommend not skipping anything to get the full experience.

Not giving my own opinion on the series, I just think you'd get more out of it if you started from the beginning.

I wouldn't skip the beginning. It basically sets up the main characters.
