I just wish Hasbro would remember that BW had 3 seasons and bring in the Transmetals. Those are my favorite moments and designs from the Beast Era.

Transmetals was Peak Beast Wars as far as I'm concerned.

Roddy's problem was that he never got a chance to grow as a character to earn the Prime title. He was your typical 'Chosen One' who got the matrix because the plot said so (hand he had two new toys to shill). He didn't show any traits or attributes to could have been the germs for his earning of the matrix. And after he got it he spent season 3 wangsting over how he'll never be as good as Optimus. No Roddy, you won't. Because Hasbro/Takes/Sunbow never gave you the chance.

And when he did finally man up and stopped hating himself, Optimus returned the next episode.

the refusal to take risks and try new things.
i mean the new comic series is about the start of the war, which we saw plenty of in the original IDW run and some highlighted pieces in cyberverse. we dont care about how it started we care about the meat of the fight. could they really not think of anything else to do?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure this is the first Transformers continuity to start before the war began and show how it started chronologically instead of starting in the middle and use flashbacks to show it.

I'm not the biggest fan of Hasbro always trying to make Transformers a part of a shared universe. Does being in the same universe as G.I. Joe, Rom, Mask, etc. really improve the Transformers franchise, or any of these other franchises?

In my view, it helps expand the universe, makes it more feel more lived in and like things other than the Transformers are important. That said, I feel like Rom is the only one that works well with Transformers. Plus he crossed over with other characters and comics all the time during his Marvel run, so crossing over with Transformers doesn't feel that out of place.

probably not serious, but that's not a problem with the Franchise on it's own, more of a problem relating to human nature in general. Every fanbase has some troubles, if you search for it, it will only worsen your experience and you start to be like them, just on the opposite side. From all the fanbases I've been part of, The Transformers fanbase was probably one of the nicer or atleast accepting one.

I realy dislike how many people always hammer in point's that are not specifiq to one thing and linger too long on it. No problem n complaining but you could say it in a nicer or more constructive way (not reffering to anyone here). I feel alot of people don't look at the other side and are not open to self reflect. anyway that was offtopic and I'm sorry if i annoyed anyone here, I have no intention of stirring up trouble.

Anyway back to the topic, I hate nothing but I do feel displeased with alot of things concerning the Franchise, Takara, Hasbro and Paramount or IDW
But I guess my main gripe with Transformers is how it has such a grand potential, yet it is never utilized at all. I find it especially weird that ahsbro tries to play it so safe, considering they would definetly have enough money to be more daring and expand their brand in new direction. They seem to be heading in a more grandiose direction, but it's more of the same rather than expanding the possibilities this Franchise trully holds. The Transformers Brand is so huge, yet everything on the forefront feels shallow. You can say alot about the more obscure stuff, but the creators of those trully seem to have passion for the brand. ish it was more open to the general fanb

In general the lack of non-Scramble-City combiners and combinations kills me. I miss Magnaboss, Tripredacus, Rail Racer, Landfill, Optimus combining with his allies, even the pants/shirt combos from Energon. If we do get Combiners they're always basic and trapped in the "every character needs to be generic so they can be a bot, vehicle, and both limb types" instead of more unique designs that commit to a certain body part.

If it weren't for the fact the Decepticons couldn't also do that, I'd consider Energon to be the real Combiner Wars.

Deliberately restricted distributions linked to other brands or companies. While it's not so much of an issue where I am, apparently in the US there are 'store-exclusive' releases... just WHAT.

Hasbro's absolutely insane distribution online and in store with exclusives and limited runs with a move to "collector markets" that are advertised as catering towards collectors but are really meant to exploit them. Remember, its hasbros fault that scalpers are able to have absolute jackpots by using bots and such to nab up the limited supply.

The lack of risk taking with creating new characters or giving characters other than g1 staples new figures, granted we've got some good ones recently with the updates but new characters are still lacking in the mainline.

Fans who get up in arms on behalf of a multi-million dollar company about a reviewer getting figures early, basically brown-nosing hasbro.

Fans who complain about "politics" in any form of media as if a war over energy is somehow apolitical. Idk maybe if you'd actually took the time to analyze something instead of just consuming it you'd find a lot of things that may or may not be political.

    AND Finally,

the fact that we haven't gotten a G2 Dreadwing updated figure, honestly hoping for like a G2 revival after kingdom and studio series 86

EDIT: One last thing, not hate but something I just find weird is box collecting or leaving figures in the box
