I guess I will just never understand the thinking behind Cyberverse! I feel like they put more effort into the blast effects than they do the actual figures.

He'd look about a billion times better with correct stripe paint. As is he looks like just another Hasbro cheaped-out release.

"Hasbro - where the paint matches the quality of the mold on 25% or less of product."

I honestly think this Starscream's alt mode looks better than the Siege one; both are crummy, but at least this is trying something different. The mass looks better distributed horizontally.

If it weren't for that weird tailfin hat, I'd consider it a better Cybertronian Starscream outright.

I get that. That was obvious. You can see the peg on the opposite side of his torso where one could attach a blast effect. It’s a cool effect. I’m more curious why it’s exploding out of what would on a human being be where one’s stomach is located. Was that something from the show?

Also, why the tail of the jet mode located in the behind Starscream’s head. These are the design choices that leave me baffled.

Starscream is the unique Seeker design in the show. The other seekers share the same body type/altmode but are unrelated to Starscream.

I noticed a lack of images of his altmode so I made a quick collage, ignore the shoddy editing: CyberverseStarscream.png
Here it is compared with the the regular Seekers:

Because Starscream doesn't have a stomach there. He has missile pods.

    Because he isn't human.

I really wish the Cyberverse gimmick Starscream/Seeker design that was used for those Target Exclusives that looked awesome was given a proper toy with articulation. This one I know is close, but it isn't the same, and that design needs a proper toy IMO.

I just realized his wings are articulated mean you could separate the hideous smaller wings giving him sort of prime starscream wings

The parts that are off on this vehicle mode, makes me think they did it so it could be easily retooled into the other seekers, which I realized recently dont share Starscreams body type at all

I can't believe someone thought to photograph unannounced figures in the box, but not the back of the box..

Why does he have guns growing out of what would on a human being be his shoulders? Why does he have wings growing out of what on a human being would be his back?

I was actually just naming the location as a descriptor. Everyone seems to be so hung up on that. I’ve never seen a Starscream with missile pods on his abdomen so it threw me off. I just wanted clarification about whether this was a feature he possessed in the show or some weird choice for the toy. But sure, you can continue to be a dick about it if you’d like.

The location is a bit weird, just having a small panel that could flip up before plugging the effect in would have helped

Also would have been a bit better if it was the chest vent that flipped up rather than the flank of his abdomen

Might be waiting awhile. Seems like the person in the original source was trying to get more info themselves since they wanted to buy. Not to mention Toywiz has a pre-order for these guys that isn't set to ship until january. Yeah yeah I know Toywiz isn't a concrete source but it's more info then we already have now.
