I did a Let's Read on that last year. I can definitely see what Scioli was trying to do, but it felt like he tried to squeeze fourteen issues into four and it just didn't work out.

Related to one of the ideas above (man-made Transformers), I think another cool idea would be making the Transformers a more straightforward invasion force sent by the Quintessons (or some other alien species). Maybe the Decepticons are sent to plunder Earth's resources, and the Autobots are a small faction that gain a conscience and break away from that goal. Maybe they'd all be identical drones at first, and they'd gain personalities and distinct appearances as they assimilate various vehicle modes and spend time on Earth interacting with humans. This could also explain why many Transformers act very human.

Obviously this approach would be unpopular with a lot of fans, but I would quite enjoy it for a change (maybe even just for one story). I think overindulgent stuff like Siege is making me sick of all the Cybertron backstory and complex mythology. In a way I'd like more Transformers stories that just cut to the chase and skip that stuff.

That's a decent concept and it got me thinking and here's the end result so far; the show would be called, "A Day in the Life of Cybertron" or something kinda corny like that, consisting of about 25-30 12 minute, one shot episodes delving into lives of individual characters or groups of characters, each episode or two with no real overarching plot line or political drama. As for each episode I'd like to see:
    • A sitcom styled episode delving into a day at Maccadams, with the core cast consisting of Maccadam (as the bartender), Tusks and Jazz (as live performers) and Zarak Maximus (as the jaded bouncer) hilarity obviously ensues
    • A slice of life episode with Tracks and Needlenose where Tracks is left to run the Chic Chips business while Needlenose goes galavanting with Horri-bull and they have some kinda bonding moment later on seeing eye to eye
    • A space exploration, Star Trek-esque episode with Jetfire, Cosmos, Meteorfire and a bunch of other space adventuring characters with them visiting alien planets (Quintessa, Gorlam Prime, etc.)
    • Another slice of life/ sitcom episode delving into the home lives of family units (for lack of a better term) the Combaticons would kinda be fun, with Onslaught and Blast-off as the couple, Vortex and Brawl as the trouble making roommates that drive Swindle up the walls (he'd probably be the seedy landlord)
    • Arcee reading various Cybertronian fairy tales to recently forged 'bots at a Cybertronian school, consisting of parodies of fairy and folk tales like the tales of King Arthur but with the 13 Primes, Rapunzel bit with BW Blackarachnia and Silverbolt or Cinderella but with Scrounge, that sort of thing
    • A romance drama with some famous Transformers couple (Chromedome and one of his many lovers would work pretty decently)
    • An episode with Starsaber as a preacher/ reverend in some kind of Cybertronian church but he's one of those over zealous, southern preachers who are always shouting "hallelujah" and "can I get an amen"
I have a bunch more ideas for this concept pitch but I'm tired and I'd probably get scolded by the mods if I continued on longer.

I've had two concepts floating around...

One a political war drama, taking ideas from IDW about Cybertron being ruled by a system in which ones alt mode determines they're roles. Thus the series would focus on the budding brotherhood between Megatron & Orion Pax as they fight against the system. Only for their clashing ideas on how to fight the injustice causes them to drift apart as well as tear apart their revolutionary faction. It would focus on and show how the growing war/civil war is affecting everyday life and show us Cybertronian culture a bit more closely. Before eventually turning a bit more darker as Orion Pax becomes Optimus Prime and forms the Autobots to fight against Megatron who has now formed a terrorist group called the Decepticons.

Another would also be a pre-war crime series focused on Nightbeat solving crimes in Cybertron's underground set to the backdrop of Megatron's revolution against the current ruling Cybertronian system. It would be a way to introduce brand new characters and focus on one off or obscure characters like Tusks & Scrounge. At the same time making small cameos or easter eggs to bigger characters cause its Transformers such as Swindle, Prowl, Orion Pax, & Megatron. As well as showing us some Cybertronian culture such as gambling in things like races, street gangs, etc. and showing the difference in culture and lifestyle between the more wealthy versus the poor.

Transformers espionage stories, have guys that can change size like Reflector, Soundwave and Megatron infiltrate a government base or a leader of a state and execute them without anyone knowing.

It would be like a spy thriller where everyone questions what happened to those people who got killed. Maybe the victims had something the Decepticons want or they might be former accomplice who got cut from their deal.

It would be a war but not in a massive scale but a war hidden from the eyes of the general public.

Actually being robots in disguise. Just seems like in almost every story the whole espionage aspect of transformers is forgotten like 2 episodes/issues in. Seems like it'd be super easy to justify a zero/minimal human contact set of rules for both sides. Autobots have a Federation rule about first contact and Decepticons just don't want to have the locals reinforcing the Autobots.

This is honestly one of the most original ideas for a series I've heard.

    YouTube (Legacy):
I've got a concept of meshing TF into the Star Wars universe, using the Quintesson origin story and having the TFs themselves be droids the Quintessons manufactured, the CY line of consumer products and the DE line of military hardware, both lines being large, transforming, humanoid droids they called Transformers, manufactured on their planet-factory of Cybertron, run by the AI called Primus, who modern Cybertronians worship as a God. Only fitting that a species of robots worship the AI that created them. Prima Autonomous, Prime the First(My version of the Last Autobot), the first of the line of 13 Primes, the first 13 leaders of Cybertron, led a rebellion against the Quintessons. The 13 ruled one by one, one after another, but they are remembered in legend as having ruled together. The Cybertronians became obsessed with technological advancement, advancing so rapidly that they are now considered a species, separate from simple droids and automatons. Their lifespan is 100,000 years and to compensate, I extended the history of the galaxy Before the Battle of Yavin to a few million years as opposed to a measly 25,000. I will make stories restricted to Cybertron as well as stories exploring the larger galaxy with Cybertronians.

Random humans on Earth start disappearing. No-one knows why, and at first it's not even noticed. Then Transformers start appearing and engaging in fights, and people have more to worry about than possible kidnappings or homeless people vanishing.

Turns out that something akin to Primus or Unicron has sent probes throughout the universe, landing on planets and abducting local sapients. Said sapients are fused - willingly or not - with the forms, powers, and partial memories and personalities of successful alien warriors and other specialists of the past, then set loose with a subconscious drive to fight, strive, win. Not many can recognize this within themselves, and even fewer have the self-control to suppress it. The role of the probe is to monitor the results and collate any new information about combat (physical or otherwise) as it applies in the local environment and culture, then report that back to the central entity so it will gain ever-increasing knowledge about how to prevail against any threat to itself or its plans.

The entity and the probe don't particularly care if the local planet or its population gets trashed in the process. In fact, under normal procedure it will monitor for a few centuries and then proceed to detonate the planet anyway, to remove a potential source of threat to the entity. If the population realizes more quickly that the probe or the entity exists, however, it will move those plans up considerably...

I'd like to see like, proper organic transformers that aren't robotic in any way. I also want it to be gross and weird, cuz I think it'd be cool. Maybe some rock-ground based 'transformers' as well... because Rock Lords are awesome and I'll literally battle anyone who says otherwise. D:<

    Ebay:
one i had was that the decepticons won the war, beat the autobots and conquered cybertron, but predictably then turned on each other. so now cybertron is ruled by three separate decepticon factions:
-megatron, with his loyalists and brutal warriors, rules from kaon
-shockwave, with the command of all the unique or special type decepticons, rules from crystal city
-starscream and his armada of seekers control the conquered remains of Iacon

all three are at constant war with each other and smack dab in the middle of the territories is the sea of rust, from which the remaining autobots form a weak resistance, attempting to just stay alive and resist the multiple decepticon threats. They would also have to compete with the junkions, a nomadic group who live the sea of rust before they make peace and join forces.

the point of view character of the story, at least at the beginning, would be nightbird, an amnesiac decepticon left for dead and taken in by the autobots. it would be revealed she was originally an artificially born cybertronian(like IDW springer) by shockwave, brainwashed with personality patterns based on starscream, and planted in megatrons forces to undermine him before being discovered and abandoned. one of the main storylines would be her growing as a person and struggling with her conflicting loyalties.

it would also see all 4 groups gain control of a combiner with the discovery of the enigma of combination: megatron gets predaking(the predacons here are just wild beasts he controls), shockwave gets devastator as the constructiocns work for him, starscream gets bruticus(the combaticons are prisoners he frees who attempted to overthrow megatron) and the autobots get superion(the ariealbots are ancient warriors they excavate).

im not sure on what the final battle of the story would be, possibly all the cons uniting to combat a major threat the autobots pose. as i do love the quintessons, i like the idea of them invading when the transfomers seem to be at their weakest. so maybe they attack when the autoots have successfully defeated the con groups or they attack and all 4 groups need to cooperate to deal with them.

I would introduce Transformers as buildable action figures, and no, not like construct-bots or Kre-O. They would be more akin to Bionicle or Hero Factory. I would also introduce a female Optimus Prime or Starscream of I could help it.

    Umm....

Hm...A planet of robotic beings who serve a dying race of organics, carrying on their cultural ideals and heritage while trying to repair their dying world. Conflict arises more from the increasingly difficult process of caring for their creators and the ever clearer reality that they can't save them, instead of faction divides and warfare like between the Autobots and Decepticons. Rogue machines and alien threats present themselves as a more direct source of conflict.

A fairly basic summary but one that would be interesting to expand on as a series.

I only know a few things about samurai and feudal japan, but I think it would be cool to see a version of cybertron that is influenced by that era. The decepticons could be similar to the Mongols, and the autobots would obviously be the samurai that fought against the Mongols. Then you could toss in all sorts of other things from that era, and I bet it'd be pretty cool. I imagine a reinvented Windblade being the protagonist. She's a broken Ronin, her master killed by Bludgeon. She goes on a journey to track down and slay him for what he did. I just think that Samurai are cool as hell, and that they should be implemented into Transformers more often.
