dunno what that means, I like how he looks skinny and speedy, like a fragile speedster type, like he is built for speed and shooting and less hand to hand combat,
Maverick's scrawniness doesnt bother me, i like how dynamic he looks

I mean the shape of the robot is similar to the Macross robot. Yes agree ... the robot feels like a speed and agility type.

If anyone else wants to feel even sadder about how great this figure could've been, check out this guy's repaint:

That was what I was hoping for. Well they've decided to repaint/remold Ectotron into a version that I much prefer over the previous one, so I hope Maverick gets a similar treatment.

lol agree. i do think they panel lines are too dark or molded too wide but that anything resembling that would a made maverick like way way better. i need to find someone that can take a stock maverick and do that for me. i haven't the skill or the time.

Mine arrived today in the unmarked Budget Rental Truck Fed Ex uses for extended delivery. Wish the box shipped in was larger as there was minor packaging damage. Not that it phased me in opening.

Have to say with the transformations done, it gives me some pretty big Macross vibes. Hope its a sign of all that related bs with Jetfire being resolved & perhaps an issue of something official again as a G1. Could also lead to some serious Seeker battle mashups too.

Received mine today. I think the paint job looks a lot better in person than it does in the photos. The joints are really tight and it feels high quality to me overall. I was also surprised the guns transformed, missed that in the pre-release photos.

Looking forward to adding the X-Men crossover to this team.

Really? Because the plastic looks almost translucent in photos. He makes Giga and Ecto look like MPs-- even under the same lighting in the same shot-- and I thought even they looked cheap in person.

I absolutely hate Nylon plastic. Just got this figure. Fantastic design, but terrible materials. So super poseable in the arms with decent leg articulation. In most poses he has to use his vertical stabilizer as a support heel, but that is ok.

Me too, this design is a great update to for Hooligan especially.

You know that? I understand that you suspect that, but hmmm...

How fun is this figure? Hella fun. He arm articulation and super poseable wrists allow for great interactions with his guns.

I am a big Macross fans so I really enjoy this design.

Got mine last week. He's by far the weakest of the three so far. But he looks much nicer in person and the joints are good and tight on mine. He's got a fun transformation too.

    I like him.

Wish the packaging between these was all consistent. Ectotron and Gigawatt come in that retro G1 Packaging but the two jets get packaging themed to the other part of the crossover. It's probably a licensing thing. But oh well.

    Can't wait for X-panse though.

Mine arrived Sunday (of all days). Shipping box looked like it'd be run over, tossed in the air fifty feet, then run over again just to be sure. Inner box completely mangled beyond recognition. Didn't get a chance to open it yet, but it looks like nothing major has busted off the toy itself. If I were keeping this in the box I'd be SUPER pissed. As it is I'm a little annoyed. As I had planned on painting him anyway, whatever so long as he's intact.
