Just took a picture of the 86 movie bots that I have at the moment and he’s the smallest in front. He does look adorable. He’s not scary now!

He’ll be available soon! There was just a slight problem when printing him where the pegs that hold up his arms were slightly too thin that when taking them off the support they snapped so I’ll need to fix that and he’ll be up!

Hi! I’ve got the modelling all done but I just need to make the transformation suit my resin printer. Also a bit busy at school so might take a while. I’m coming back to it once I wrap my project. I’m doing a quick toy of Cheetor in the Q transformers proportion (ish) and you can see closer updates on my new Twitter if you’ve got one. @hightail_works.

Installed a wire into the 35% Unicron after giving it a quick paint job. I just need to tweak the thickness of some of the parts but other than that I can upload him. Like my other models it’ll be non colour coordinated so some painting will be required. I’ll add a hook like I added on this Arcee Ornaments head for easier wire threading action.

I’ll throw Unicron up on a Christmas tree tomorrow and then I can upload his files with the new pictures.

Are there plans in the future to upload the transforming Unicron for sale? I got a Sunlu s8 printer with a huge build volume, an Ender 3 for smaller parts, and an Elegoo Mars for detailed pieces like the head ... I'd love to take a crack at printing G1 Unicron as big as possible.

Hi, I’m still working on the big one. Every once in a while I’ll think of better ways to transform him so I’m just working on that, with some small side projects in between. Once he’s done I think I will put him up.

The ornaments are a good idea, especially with those hallmark G1 toy ornaments and all. Maybe you got inspiration from that and I’m just dumb and forgot, dunno.

Haha I think I’ve only mentioned it briefly so no worries, yes, they’re inspired by the Hallmark ones. I’ve got G1 styled MTMTE Megatron and Rodimus printing and I’ll release them as a Co Captains set as well.

I was just yelling to a friend that it's a shame nobody has made these. I hope one day some steel mold money makes it your way. You'll convince me to bust out my 3d printer to make the parts once you're finished. What kind of machine/resin have you been printing with?

I use an Anycubic Photon S with Anycubic resin, might not be the best for this project to be honest, since my current version has a few slider hinges.

I was going to say, a form 2 might be worth the investment down the road which I know means nothing considering you’ve mentioned you’re in school and I certainly didn’t have money in school. I use a lot of the durable resin for prints and it functions closer to a hard durameter pvc part. I’m really looking forward to what else you make. Are you in school for industrial design? Engineering?
