Do we know if there are any Earthrise KOs in the works yet? I'm starting to think that might be my only potential hope at ever owning Prowl, Ironhide, and Ratchet because I'm sure as hell not paying scalper prices.

I don’t believe there’s been any word on future KOs. Doesn’t seem likely right now with the police raid on Wei Jiang’s factory a few months ago. If any company out there is will to take the chance, they’d probably be doing upscaled figures closer to MP size going by the few Siege KOs that were done.

Got the Nemesis version of that guy. As awesome as it is and as much as I love SG, I am not gonna buy this....Its gonna force me to get another Mp10V trailer to repaint and I dont want either the costs or time, or project slot....:lol :lol :lol

Dont think so. They OSed Magnus right in the heat of this. I believe that they wrongly believe that there might not be much interest....Which is false logic.....

I'd say it is more like covering their asses than making any assumptions about demand.

The sad truth is that, right now, knocking off Hasbro toys in China is a dangerous proposition. Heck, most of my saved Ebay seller list is devoid of products because they dumped all their KO listings. The fear of being subject to a crackdown is very real over there.

It's a deco that Hasbro doesn't have, so they may think that provides a margin of safety on top of it being an existing KO that apparently has not been targeted yet. Given the timing, it was also likely ready to go (like the Ultra Magnus KO) and they are just getting it out there as opposed to sitting on stock they'd already manufactured. All said, the lack of any news on new KOs would seem to support the idea of the manufacturers treading lightly.

Just got this OSKO Siege Ultra Magnus from BPF in the mail..... he's a pretty hefty and big toy for the intended price, that's for sure.

    IMG_20201205_110043.jpg

This OSKO Siege Ultra Magnus isn't much of an "OSKO" in the usual way, but rather more of a slight upsizing and heavy retool to make the entire figure taller than the original Siege Ultra Magnus with some slight improvements; making the height of this figure closer and more in-scale to the Leader class figures from the Prime Wars toyline like TR Overlord, Sixshot, CW Ultra Magnus, etc.

Aside from some slight size changes, there are a few cosmetic upgrades and changes that improve on the original, including built-in gap fillers on the shoulder armour pylons, weapons & upper legs, The use of screws instead of flathead pins at the shoulders joints (Allowing for easier disassembly in case if the shoulder joints are too loose or tight), die-cast feet and chest armour.

While not really a change per se, I do appreciate that the weapon parts on the figure remain the standard 5mm sizing (Unlike most OSKO where the weapon parts are also upsized making it impossible for the toy to use any other weapons besides its own included weapon without mods), making it easier for the figure to use pre-existing 5mm weapons & accessories just straight OOB.

Some size comparisons with official HasTak figures:

BPF KO Siege Ultra Magnus (Left) vs original Siege Ultra Magnus (Right):

    IMG_20201205_110149.jpg

BPF KO Siege Ultra Magnus (Left) vs Earthrise Optimus Prime (Right):

    IMG_20201205_102210.jpg

The shoulder missile launchers and black "leg guns" of both the BPF KO (Left) vs the Original Siege figure (Right); Notice the built-in gap fillers on the BPF KO's weapons when compared to the hollowed sides of the original:

    IMG_20201205_110801.jpg

The main rifle of both the BPF KO (Up) vs the Original Siege figure (Down):

    IMG_20201205_110836.jpg

The original rifle was molded with red plastic later all painted with silver except for the handle.

While BPF KO's rifle was molded in black plastic later painted with silver, with the 5mm handle been painted in red for some reason; Which I don't like and a pointless decision, as it's just asking for paint scuffs and chipping off eventually. In fact, that's exactly what happened with mine only after some play.

Correct, Black Mamba's products use the LS model numbers and are oversized

The OSKO is also more in line with his previous incarnations, size-wise.

Yes, the BPF OSKO Siege Ultra Magnus retains all the same 5mm and 3mm ports compatibility from the original Siege figure...

Here's BPF Magnus's inner bot wielding the original HasTak Siege Megatron's weapons (The 5mm ports do feels a tiny bit loose on my copy, but it's possible to arm up this figure with whatever 5mm compactible weapons you got lying around just straight OOB):

    IMG_20201205_173606.jpg

The 3mm "impact pegs" are also retained (With no change in peg sizes like most OSKOs), allowing your typical Siege/Earthrise effect pieces to be mounted on these hardpoints on the figure itself to simulate being 'shot' or on the back of vehicles to simulate "rocket boosters" or "speed":

    IMG_20201205_174230.jpg

If you could get one for a good price, I say it's worth buying. For an OSKO, BPF OSKO Magnus is actually a very good toy that even slightly improves on the original figure in some aspects.

    IMG_20201205_102133.jpg

I'll say, however, buy with caution as I do hear that there are a few QC issue reports of some copies have the shoulders break off even just straight OOB; Those may possibly be isolated cases so if you could get one with no breakage straight OOB and handle the toy carefully, it's a good buy.

I really appreciate the 5mm compatibility on the BPF OS KOs. I like that Wei Jiang had attempted it with some of theirs. If these companies manage to continue doing OS Generations figures going forward I hope they’ll retain that compatibility.
