Is that the original or the OSKO?

That's the original. Scales pretty much perfectly with Ordin and Feral Rex, etc.

I own two, and at this price I'm considering a third, I like him that much. He's by far my favorite Bruticus, and a third party CHUG-sterpiece Hall of Famer.

This is my setup, plus Maketoys Computron as my lone Autobot Combiner.
I like the car Combiner smaller than the military Bruticus and Liokaiser.
My TFM Menasor hangs with my MP bots.

He's still my main Bruticus. I really like Onslaught's alt mode as well.

That's so crazy to see the set so cheap but then again it's an old mold. I remember back when it was released each limb was around $100 and Onslaught was $150 iirc. Man I genuinely miss those old days when it was so peaceful with all these reveals and releases lol. It's a fun set for anyone on the fence or just want something to checkout.

Ok so he's somewhere between the generations deluxe size combiners like Giant and gigantic ones like Zeta Superion?

Yes, he would be in the middle of those two examples.

Cool thanks. I pulled the trigger even though he doesn't really scale with anything else I have. Maybe the Toyworld Throttlebot combiner. But that price is fantastic.

    Warbot Ron shall be mine!

My set is pretty good on the QC side of things. BUT, the ankle tilts in combiner mode are super sketch. I believe a lot of people had issues with this and the parts were breaking when you would try and get the combined mode into any type of dynamic pose. There were replacement parts issued with one of the figures.. forget which one. So hopefully the set you purchased comes with those. If not, just be super careful with those combiner ankle tilts.

Hmmm... I remember the Warbotron Computron re-issue was a knock off (someone correct me if I'm wrong). I'm wondering if this is the same thing?

Thanks for the heads up. I’ll be sure to keep a lookout for that.

I'm excited for this cheap release but also worried, based on the rumblings of it actually being a knockoff

Where'd you get this intel? I asked BBTS about the WB-03 Computron re-issue they had a few months back and they said its a genuine Warbotron (new old stock that they got from a distributor that was sitting on them).

If you check the Computron thread, there were a lot of complaints that the materials were cheaper than the original and people said that it was a KO.

The ratchets in combined mode ankles are made of transparent plastic, so have fun with that.

And I confirm this, as I said on the previous page.

Just by looking at the thread after that information came out, seems pretty clear that was a big lie, judging by the fact that there were definite differences between the original and the "old stock".

So now, it's a matter of waiting and seeing how knocked off this set is, I guess?

    Thank you sir.

Edit: just went through the last 4 pages of that thread. Interesting read for sure! I didn't read or see any post specifically stating its a KO because Warbotron or BBTS said so, just based on comparison pictures between different board members.

    A couple things I know:
    1) Grimlock never came clear I believe (I could be wrong, someone correct me if I am), so the materials/color comparison is pointless.
    2) Generation Toy has issued gift sets in the past using brown boxes.
    3) BBTS had previously issued the complete set of WB01 at the $149.99 price point (later increased to $199.99)
    4) When the WB03 $149.99 "reissue" came out, I called BBTS and asked if Warbotron is making a comeback. They said this is new old stock from a distributor. I know that this is thirdhand information but you can call BBTS to verify this yourself.

I guess the only people that can truly confirm this is BBTS or Warbotron/Generation Toy.

Urgh, even if this is a KO, I am absolutely dying here. I have this dream of a massive custom where I repaint this as the Wreckers--Onslaught as Pyro, Swindle as Kup, Brawl as Impactor, Vortex as Rotorstorm and Blast Off as... someone. For 150$. Urgh. Always when I'm broke!
