mine is facing down as well. I’ve had it since yesterday and have transformed it a handful of times. I’ll disassemble it like someone else in the thread mentioned.

Edit: Oh and no paint rubbing. Mine's head seems to be in the middle, so rubbing seems fine. The stamp is 02401.

I’ve been waiting to do this for too long:

It would be awesome if they do something similar to this in the comic!

Gigawatt is already on sale in Canada at ToyRUs for 42.28 CAD, couldn't resist a second at that point.

Apologies if this has already been covered, but can anyone confirm if Giggawatt transforms OK without spinning the chest piece to expose the flux capacitor?

I had no idea TRU was selling this. Was that announced and I missed it or did it just show up out of the blue? I'm annoyed cause $60 is way too much for this figure and $42 would have been great. Has it been at TRU for a while and then dropped in price or did it arrive on sale right away? I was just in a TRU recently and I didn't see this on the shelf.

In the GTA at least Gigwatt appeared on store shelves around Mid November and was available in stores for a week at least before most stores sold out. Been on the website a few days after being spotted in stores. After cyber monday TRU dropped the price to $42.

Out west it showed up maybe two weeks ago. Not sure if I was in the right place at the right time or if it's not as popular out here. I know my home city doesn't have much for a TF community so that might be why there is an abundance of them here.

Are the rear tires supposed to snap into place in car mode? Mine really want to fold inwards, I cant get them to want to stay vertical. Luckily I got a couple more copies coming but I wonder if this can be fixed

Yes, sort of. The front tires are supposed to snap in position for both car mode and hover mode. The back ones just fold into position and stay by friction once into position.

Though I will note, the front tires have two swivel points. One clicks, the other is friction based (shape of the hinge--where it feels like a ratchet joint but isn't). Mine go into each position fine, so not sure if yours is defective or not.

Mine has the same problem where the rear tires want to fold in. If you put it on a surface with enough friction you can get them to stay a bit straighter.

The same thing happened to me. I was pissed off, and was about to email their customer service, just for shits and giggles... (I tried to get help from a previous problematic order, and it took months of back and forth/long intervals until I just said f@ck it)

But then I noticed on my Hasbro Pulse account orders, it said:
    Fulfillment Status Partial

So I can only assume that they will send out the other one later on?

@Pixelmaster Is Hasbro aware of the problem with Gigawatt's transformation rubbing off the paint and are they planning a fix in the future?

Well that sucks, you'd think they'd have checked for clearance issues before shipping this guy out. If it was just the paint by the doors i wouldn't be as bothered but the numbers on his chest are pretty iconic dates so it sucks they have to be sacrificed for transformation. I got a second copy so this makes it the first time I'll have seperate figures for robot/vehicle mode.

I'm planning on making him a screen protector once he arrives.
cut up a clear sticker, and place it on the panel to protect all the lettering.
