Opinion and taste aren't subject to logic. You have your aesthetic preference, I have mine. For example, I can't say with a straight face that one version of Dinobot is significantly better than the other. Each person in the fan community prioritizes different things in their collection acquisitions.

There may even be some people for whom the original Optimus Prime offers things that the Masterpiece version does not. Those who prefer a realistic alt mode, for example, such as myself, might dislike the Masterpiece versions generic truck mode, when compared to the specific real-world model that the g1 toy is based on. Although personally, I prefer the Bumblebee movie Optimus Prime to both.

If you have an emotional attachment to a particular figure, no argument there but to post such that the much older henkei is better than the upcoming one? Well, we got the answer, personal preference/emotional attachment.

I too have an emotional attachment on a particular mold set. But again, I can't say it with a straight face ( PSOne better than PS4?)that they are a much superior version. I have an emotional attachment to OG G1 and THS-02 (the latter if upsized and the truck mode fixed would have been THE ultimate Optimus Prime....(not to mention all the bells and whistles he comes with)). I'd say, the original is indeed a great template for the current evolution of the design. Straight face. MP-10 vs MP44? The latter IS superior (except for the over designed knees). Fyi, my MP-10 1st release is my most decaled MP (the robot and the trailer) in my collection, so much emotional investment on it. But straight face, MP-44 is the superior one.

You're mistaking subjectivity for emotional attachment.

Nope. I can be subjective and objective. Saying henkei Dinobot is better that Kingdom is not objective. Even subjectively, you can't say that with a straight face henkei Dinobot is superior. Only Soundwave is superior. Construction inferior.

Airazor looking fantastic there. Dinobot is really nice apart from that bloody sword. He looks to have grey plastic knees. Cast it from the same stuff!

That's my thought as well. The arms do the exact same thing. They should have engineered the forearms to let the wrists flip in from the beginning at least.

Thanks for posting this. Now we can more accurately measure Huffer's height. In this pic his head is even with Inferno's chrome bumper.

I used the figures I have on hand to try to get an idea of his size. It looks like he will definitely be between Cliffjumper and Bluetreak in height. CJ's head is under Grapple's chrome bumper, while Bluestreak's shoulder is even with Grapple's chrome bumper.

Lmao I could easily save you the trouble from this, Huffer (his actual head) only reaches to Warpath's eyes.

You mean the Warpath almost no one has in hand, yet? How's that help?

But in the show she had wrist forearm mounted shooters like that.

And when they can, WfC's goal is screen accuracy uber alles.

So far I'm not seeing anything to make me reconsider sitting Kingdom out. Maybe if they'd put an, I dunno, FLOOR in Magnus's trailer so he could haul Carbots or Micromasters?

While the transformations and greebling are much better than my old Geewun I had as a kid, the G1 did have a big advantage in storing accessories/other bots... AND his trailer had a base mode I've yet to see in the new one.

I get that it's Sunbow-accurate (and only Sunbow accurate), but I wish they made Huffer short. He's gone to a definite pass, and Pipes is down to "if there's a really good sale" status.

G1 Ultra Magnus carried Hot Rod and Kup in vehicle mode, but not his own head, his gun, or two pairs of fists.

    Frankly I don't mind the trade-off.
