It's a fun set even if it is hard to display. I love how the detention block connects to the garbage compactor.
It's satire. It clearly is him. Same nose, same voice, all the same sets at the same time And he even shows his custom city in this one, how much more proof could there be
Whatever gets you through the day. I choose to take Jang at his word. This fan made cute parodies at first, reusing footage lifted from Jang's official channel and shifting the colour pallet from time to time (like the Lava Speeder parody). I chuckled watching these early reviews myself, but it went beyond the pale with the Jang==Gnaj conspiracy nonsense. People should learn to set boundaries. Like the creep who's posing as emgo on instagram. It gets to a point where it isn't funny anymore. If the target of the parody says enough is enough, it's time to move on.
I was going to comment earlier about dragons having proper wings. I mean sure, some dragons don't, but this is just... helicopter blades? I mean it's not like they don't have the molds (* looks over at daughter's lovely Elves dragons *).
Annoying that they only drop a "Gift With Purchase" when everything worth buying is "temporarily out of stock"...
It's really bad this year. Black Friday and Cyber Monday really wiped them out, more so than in years past. Honestly I like the ice rink set enough that I simply ordered one big item and I plan to return it - I am happy to "pay" for the GWP if they make me (the store I go to is 50/50 consistent on that).
Well just FYI the store will only give you a store credit. Technically you can exchange for anything that way. I only did it for this GWP because 1. I had a store credit anyway and 2. I plan to use it for Lunar New Year sets. So might as well do something with it in the meantime.
Sadly, I don't have a Lego Store within convenient reach, but I'm fine with store credit--I drop a few hundred bucks with them every year between Jurassic World, SW Microfighters and the annual Winter Village set anyway.
I keep kits that I would like to get but not need to buy for GWP like this. This order was the Death Star Final Duel one, then two other kits to hit the $150 mark. I hate returning kits and usually just end up donating them instead. Right now I'm sitting on an extra NES Classic and Lamborghini Sian because of family issues, but keeping them for a while. Yeah I spent a ton on Lego this year.
I started the day before heading to the hayfield by building the escape pod and cockpit. The esape pod isn't bad per say, but I just don't think an open viewport without any kind of protective glass is counterproductive. I can rummage through my mountain of spare Gunpla parts for something that would fit. Once I finally got home tonight, I hit the engines. The decals went on smoothly, no rippling or getting out of alignment. I think this was the easiest decal jobs I've ever done. Clever use of half circle arches and the the front turbine design is pretty interesting. I don't think I have ever built one like this before in a Lego kit. And that's it for the Razor Crest! Fun build overall, the size is fairly decent, and really is solid all the way around even though the sides fold down for interior play, the hinges remain pretty tight and stay locked in place. I kind of feel like it would have been the best place to introduce a full Beskar Mando figure along with Mando Jr and Carl Weathers, but I can understand the decision to use the original weathered look from the beginning of the series, since it's obviously when this kit was planned, and the existing suit template was made at the time. My only real complaint is that it does not come with Mando Jr's shiny ball... or radio buttons to push.
