I love how IF takes design cues from other third party products and incorporates them into their own figures. This Cryotek is no exception as it comes with that alternate helmet that the Perfect Effect figure came with. Can't wait for IF's Cryotek!

 

That looks really good! Almost makes me want to get the regular one as well and set up a display piece with the two dragons in a circle, eating each other's tails.

So, will this special-release figure be available to buy from the usual U.S. retailers, or do you have to be in the right place at the right time for a window of two minutes to buy it?

That's frikkin' sweet dude. I'm really glad he came with that alternate face because honestly I really don't like the default one he comes with. Way too generic and doesn't really look like BW Megs at all.

 

Cryotek is simply the best-looking repaint-character since G1.

Was seriously tempted by the regular one, but now that it’s in blue I think I’ll have to hunt one down.

 

The original doesnt look pristine without premium paint, maybe i dont like their red plastic. The blue version requires no premium paint at all, simply beautiful, and NOW i am really interested in this figure!!!

 

Good name for the Cryotek repaint... because after reading about all these disintegrating Heat Deaths, there is Absolute Zero chance of me buying this mold....

It could be translation issues, but I read it as "the first 1500 limited edition ones include a numbered collector's card and extra face". That the figure itself isn't super-limited, just the bonus bits.

(but of course, the alternate face is awesome, so you gotta have it...)

 

Is Cryotek having the Beast Machines Megatron facemask just a thing now? Not complaining at all, it anything it's a cool way to differentiate him

 

Yup. I don't think there's any explanation beyond that. It's a trend/thing now.

 

Love it. I don't really have any interest in the new head but the colours look great. But being limited release I don't know if I'll get the chance to own one.
