The stores that had 1 item during lockdown each received 1 case which had 2 Bumblebees in them. However due to Smyth's online inventory processes, which list one less figure that there actually is (purportedly so customers so visit the store aren't disappointed), they only listed 1 bumblebee online

Which means that every Smyth's that had a Bumblebee during lockdown should have another one on their shelves

    I'd say take this all with a grain of salt, but I've just been to Smyth's and;

Unsurprisingly still listed as out of stock online. I'm sticking to my TT orders on these two, literally can't be arsed to make 34 mile round trips in a lockdown on the offchance.

    IMG_20201202_105608.jpg

I may have ordered another one of these at ID. Just so I can have the "pleasure" of sacking off that Amazon order that's still floating around for mid January (and they probably won't fulfill)

Fat arse megatron. I think I'll name Emgo's version from his skits that, since he sits on his fat arse half the time. Lol.
It's a shame those two aren't in stuff more. Beavis and butthead is the perfect description and while it may not be the most interesting characterisation in the grand scheme, it does make them memorable amongst the rest of the cast.

I need to go back and read the ation era again. That was some good shit. I see ratchet and runabout, but where's runamuck hiding on that first page?

Decided that i need to abort on the seacons. I have no attachment to them and just want them because i dont have them, but feel once they are on the shelf, they'll just be left and not touched. They're too expensive for something like that (that's the main reason I'm selling my tfc liokaiser). I'm just gonna put my g1 seacons on thee shelf and call them done.

However, although i have no space for him, ss devastator has been calling me for a while. And i feel he will be something that gets played with. Also, he's cheaper. Lol. Was someone in this thread selling a ss dev? I seem to remember seeing it a few weeks back. I'd much prefer the current one as i don't like the muddy paint apps on ss69.

Picked this guy up on eBay for £8, will look lovely on the wall in the mancave!

I do like the look of some reaction figures, specifically those retro properties that didn't really get a proper toyline back in the day, but reaction figures of the likes of he man and transformers make me scratch my head a little.

To me it sounds like it's entirely possible you were the only person nice to him? Or heck just being nice can mean a lot to someone who is bullied, good for you! That was a really sweet story <3

As for your Mega Drive epiphany, I can relate. There is something beautiful about Mega Drive era graphics and sound design. I had a similar experience when I first saw Sonic 2 on my brother's Mega Drive and saw the wonderful pixel graphics and parallax backgrounds and wow, it blew my mind at the time :O I still have a soft spot for that aesthetic. Like for some 8 bit is the pixel era people get nostalgic for and say is the best but for me? 16 bit all the way!
Then in recent years it's been incredible watching videos online by people who worked in that era and finding out how they leveraged the limitations of the hardware to pull of stuff that on paper the consoles shouldn't be capable of - or at least do a very convincing job of faking it. A surprising number of them involve messing around with colour palettes :lol

I did exactly the same, though if Amazon do come through with the order I'll still have it, pretty much a guaranteed sell for the Shins of the Wreckers TFNation table

Just got back from Smyths Colchester.

Shit loads of Cliffjumper and Ironworks. Shelves overflowing with them. £12.99 and they still are not shifting.

I noticed they do have 2 Sky Lynx shelf warming along with 4 EROPs.

The only Netflix figures they have are 1 Hound, 1 Sideswipe and 2 Hotlinks.

    No Bumblebee or Elita-1.

I asked one of the staff and they do not have any and mentioned about the dates showing online for when stock is due in.

Picked up a Minecraft Lego set for my son and resisted getting another FastTrack, Ironworks and CJ (to do up as Tapout or Glyph).

Yup. 16 bit graphics all the way. Advanced enough to be legitimately beautiful via talented hands, but limited enough to practically mandate an impressionist like approach.

Same. Though like yours on occasion they look amazing anyway! Some just suit the style.

The problem is the price, £8 should be the max but they're surviving as a true collectors thing, so they're getting away with it. They'd sell entire waves in one go at £8 a figure.

Come to think of it, that may also be why I tend to lean more towards games with stylized art styles over ones which constantly chase realism. Not least of which because stylized art styles lend a game a certain timeless quality whereas realism can go from looking super amazing to looking dated very very quickly.

It will only be the stores that showed them as in stock when they were only running click and collect.

since Wheeljack was also 2 to a case looking at where he is showing as in stock may indicate where a bumblebee is.

    Mansfield should have

    Thanks again.

That’s quite a trek for me. Lol.

Will just have to be patient and cross my fingers Smyths will get the stock in due course.

EDIT- Just had a look at Netflix WJ availability, nearest store just over 100 miles away.

    Lovely story buddy. :)

    Damnation.

    Nice!!

    Hope Springers eternal ;)

Trust me, I was shouting similar pleas for thunderclash into the ether when potp prime was first shown too. And TR PMOP...

Optimus prime might have a trailer, but Megatron is draggin' an ample wagon.

Christmas round the corner man, if I'm not good santa will stick me on the naughty list.

As all right minded sentient beings should.

I found myself nodding along while reading your tirade against the four-wheeled feet. They are unnecessary and the money saved not including them could have been spent on some orange paint.

Yeah I found the NES and Master System graphics a little... unmemorable? I could tell some were technically impressive in that my own 8-bit machine, the humble ZX Spectrum, couldn't get close. But they all looked... not quite a perfect fit with the limits of the system.

Sometimes in the push to extract all the power out of a system, beauty is lost. On the PC, I recal the jump from Wing Commander 1 & 2 (which used very fancy bitmaps for spacecraft) to Wing Commander 3 (which used filled and shaded vector graphics). Craft went from beautiful ornate spiky things to simple geometric shapes. I don't care that they were technically superior. They didn't look as good.
