It sure does and I hope it has that gimmick! I actually like it. Depending on which scene in the animation/comic, Magnus can be seen with the regular eyes or wearing a shade.

That was also my complaint going back to the Siege UM. Doesn't Hasbro know it's the TF insignia that separate TFs from the generic robot/3P robot? I want every of my TF robot to have some sort of visible TF insignia from the front of the robot or on the side. But not when one has to put a magnifier glass to look for one teeny tiny Autobot Insignia located at the back of UM butt/bumper!

With all said and done, Kingdom UM looks better than I anticipated. Both the Ultra and the white Magnus robot cab look great! My only real issue with Kingdom UM just boil down to the coloring e.g chest plate not color to match the toon/MP22 at some area, my infamous nitpicky of not having red bumper, and the lack of shoulder insignia. The rest I was kind of expecting him to be like the Siege UM to certain extend. Otherwise, can't wait to have him as part of my Armor UM collection.

 

Iffy on Magnus. Leaning yes though as he's still the best G1 version I've seen.
I'm skipping the Beast Wars characters for the most part because the nostalgia isn't as strong..... but that Dinobot..... I think I'm going to get him. He was my favorite Beast Wars character and this version looks sooooo good!

 

It's crazy how much the remold weakens the figure. Seige Magnus was in fact great.

But where Seige Magnus is an amazing intentional homage to RID Magnus in vehicle mode, Kingdom Magnus is a hilarious unintentional homage to Energon Optimus in core robot mode.

 

Excellent point. Need more pictures to make an informed decision.

Not interested in Magnus, the CW version is still good enough for me. Dinobot looks fantastic in robot mode, but definitely a bit funky in beast mode. Airazor looks perfect in both modes though

 

I just want to point out Clobber is a new character not Lugnut as a girl like Fireatstar is to Inferno.

 

That magnus is very questionable at least on the seige ver, the slope gave it a slightly defined body. This? Ooh, definitely not. Hes immensely sloped. I'm still unsure why it transforms this way, as it makes him look so fat, and had it done like the g1 toy, I think it would've ended up better. But thats me. I'll give it more time, and see how it turns out

Dinobot in bot mode is beautiful. Awesome beyond a doubt. Can't wait for a grimlock repaint, and hope that won't end up as selects. The beast mode though. Euch! Its questionable, and those hands are horrendous. Be hilarious if later repaints end up fixing that. And the way it looks is horrendous so far with its way to fatness for a realistic altmode, but maybe its a matter of perspective . And the eye I think would've been better without the pupil. It looks like shin godzilla but raptor.

 

I don't think they did Dinobot justice this time around. The Classics figure seems better than this one to me. That Air Razor is impressive.

 

Unfortunately it appears that this is the intended configuration. The place where the sides clip onto the cabs legs are now closer to the front of the trailer than on the Siege version, pushing everything back. Also note the tops of the shoulder pylons don't have the same type of connector tab as the Siege version. They no longer clip into the backs of his legs and truck mode. This is also to allow the trailer to sit further back. Unfortunately, not only does it make it look terrible, it also makes the truck mode far less stable than the Siege version.

 

Seriously. Why not skip the red and silver shin paint and give us the blue on the sides and the red on the bottom of the chest?

Dinobots bot mode looks spectacular dino mode though has some goofy elements does the job. Airazor looks good in both modes and Ultramagnus is just bla. Did anyone really want a new one? An earthrise repaint would have worked better for him.

 

To me...Absolutely. The kingdom figure isn't too far off from the original BW figure. Maybe that was done purposely but I expected more.

 

Absolutely hilarious to watch people nitpick these toys that are 90% accurate. I would be ecstatic if my favorite characters got toys on par with Dinobot or Magnus.

 

Well, I’m an idiot, so I’m down for all three including magnus. The beasts look excellent.

And while he may be mediocre, it may be fun being able to swap parts between all three magnuses that have been released so that I can build the ideal version.

 

Its the brainrot that comes after having the classoca for so long and nothing else. Happened with G1 fans a loooong time ago
