as it has been said many times before, we have options, and options are good. and opinions are like assholes, everyone's got one and no one else cares to hear it.

DX9's Menasor is so ugly and stupid looking. The leg cars look like they are hanging off of cargo containers. Whoever designed it must have failed 6th grade art class.

Honestly I would have been happy with xtbs offering if I wasn't so worried about long term qc issues. Funny enough, all my copies were quite good when I sold them all off, but yea, the qc is the only issue to me. I still maintain that Gravestone is the best looking MM, in both modes. That thing is so badass in every way.

Scale, scale, scale! Who would think that word would have so much weight in our hobby?

On the shelf with other MP scaled decepticons, they do look a little small, but when displayed as a team, that is no longer a concern. I'm sure that goes the same with the other companies offerings.

I made a little display for them, still waiting on that dead end reissue. Hopefully early next year they will announce it.

    I never said it did.
That's not what I meant by type. Windcharger's type would be minibot. He's not a full-size carbot. He's listed as a mini-vehicle on TFWiki and his G1 toy was a minibot, which is likely why he was generally not given the same size as full-size carbots in the cartoon either. So try an apples-to-apples comparison next time.

Oddly enough, the altmode (and resultant botmode because mass shifting was not a thing in the '80s toys) of the toy did determine size -- it made Windcharger a minibot, which was carried over to how he was represented in the cartoon and elsewhere. As much as some seem to not want to admit it, the toy determined a lot, even for the cartoon. The cartoon that was created to sell the toys, so go figure. :)

Let's just hope the dead-end to your wild ride drag stripping isn't a total mental breakdown as your motorboat your master.
I guess I've now ruined the stunticons... I'm so sorry

Everyone has their pros and cons.

So XTB got the car scale "correct". But no one mentions their Gravestone is way oversized in bot mode? :p

How XTB tries to differentiate themselves: trailer has battle station mode, arms shells.

Arm shell may sound like a negative, but I think DX9 could have benefited from it. Their Menasor elbow area looks too bare -- the car parts are too far apart.

It's a different combiner, sure, but I was just watching an episode where Brawl towered over Onslaught... As obsessed with scale as I am to my own ends, I'm amazed anyone still tries to say what is correct and what isn't.

DX9's set looks great to me and I'm most of the way into owning the XTB one. Maybe the only thing that stopped me from doing so was the inflation on Capone as a one-off investment and the need to then track down mods to attach the legs on the rear of the limbs themselves.

But my preference in scale aside, what you said about DX9 being the only complete set available made me seriously contemplate which to go with.

Regarding the Omega, that gave me a chuckle. I meant (obviously) I don’t like it. To be fair, I don’t like the Fanstoys version either, but it’s preferable to the DX9. I feel WeiJiang has the best Omega Supreme.

As far as Menasor, aftermarket/homebrew parts don’t count. We’re talking what the company provides. Pretty much everything else I disagree with.
Cool that you have money to burn, but no one cares. I’m glad you like DX9’s set. I find it to be laughable in every mode.

I have both DX9 and WJ Omega.
WJ Omega is fun, but really it can't compare to DX9 Omega if you are a MP collector.
WJ Omega is like a bigger CHUG toy, you can play with it having lots of fun especially in base mode, but just not "Master Piece" enough.

(Even I don't own FT version) I think among all 3 MM, FT's version looks the best in robot mode.

Truck mode, maybe X-transbot's MM. (But it doesn't have the trailer yet). FT's version trailer is kind of short while DX9 version trailer is too long.

Honestly, I simply do NOT like the DX-9 models. The individual bots look too thin and lanky. Motormaster looks completely derpy to me, especially in the face. He's too small and his proportions are wack.
Oh, and I HATE the extra long trailer.
And their Menasor looks plain, and toonish... NOT as in the Cartoon "toonish", but as in... He looks like a goon.

I'm glad there are those that like him. And props to them for being the 1st ones to complete the set! But it just ain't for me.

EDIT: I just realized I only spoke of DX-9...

FT bots look AMAZING. But for "carbots" they are just TOO tall. And while Roadking looks really nice, I still like the face and paint (that metallic purple is slick) on Gravestone better.
