I mean... maybe? They knocked the other dino head sculpts, especially Snarl and Sludge out of the park, I don't see why they did it for Grimlock, the most popular one. (Oh wait... I think I do) I wouldn't get it anyway, THe dino mode is chunky monkey and I hate those bits between the arms and torso. I actually think the Takara LOOKS better than Grinder.

In dino mode absolutely, bot i do prefer FT's but it was kind of a let down given how good their sludge was prior to it.

edit, when i said on purpose i only meant the head sculpt for the dino, not the rest of the weird decisions they made.

Yeah, Fans Toys usually nails proportions, I don't know what was going on with Grinder. Another reason I prefer Superator and Reximus Prime is because I don't have to pay $900 for bling bling. Superator and Reximus Prime already have it.

Has anyone taken the t-rex head apart and painted the eyes?

That's for sure! All I need currently are Grassor and Guttur. With these preorders open, I may have to double - up so I can display both modes.

So I picked up Superator (metal version) and transformed him. With the rest of my collection, he fits really well. I expect my Dinos to be big, beefy, hunched out monstrosities. Even in robot mode he looks like a bruiser and could trash DX9's Gewalt. Definitely pick this guy up.

Does anyone have a picture of Superator along with the FansToys Dinobots? I really don't like Grinder's proportions so I'm wondering how well this guy fits among them.

So when I was on my mission to paint his eyes blue I couldn't find a screw or a way to separate the head to get to the eyes. I could be wrong but if u look @ his T Rex head there is an octagon'ish shape by his jaw IIRC and I believe behind that is a screw but I couldn't budge it or remove that Octagon'ish panel and didn't wanna ruin or risk breaking it.

I eventually (thru trial and error) was able to cut prism stickers to fit his eyes and it work ok. It's not perfect but I prefer blue eyes over his red eyes. GP really dropped the ball on that simple option.

    Some old pics

So took Sups out of the display and took a closer look. I noticed a seam on his right rear jaw that his left side didn’t have. Poked my nail in between and it flung off. There’s one screw. @FiVE1ZERO is right, on his right snout is another asymmetric panel that is probably hiding one or two more screws. That’ll be the ticket for proper entry.

I’m exhausted, so before I overstep and ruin that piece, I’m gonna sleep on it and come up with a plan A and B (and C if it goes truly south) before I attempt to remove it.

Maybe someone will try it before I do. Let us know how it goes.

@Red2 Right on man! Yea mine would not budge when I was goin at it awhile ago. I just had this bad feeling something bad was gonna happen and we all know it takes forever to get replacement parts from GP. Makes me wonder if GP glued on the 1st batches of that area or not. I remember for Guttur to get the screw behind the bot head you had to remove a back plate to get to the screw and some were impossible to get to while others came loose.
