It really should have been a single player game like spider-man. It had a good story and they did a great job with ms marvel but it's full of bugs.

On the plus side unworthy thor and world war hulk outfits are out.

Especially with everything being delayed and the game not even being fun in the first place.
I do hope Square Enix tries to at least salvage the game, and not bail on it. If it had a price drop as soon as the Series X, PS5 and the new content drops, I could see people getting into the game.

 

Two quick thoughts: they’d have done better sending this to mobile. Or at least doing a parallel release like they did with FFXV with a pocket edition. They built a game that can only run on top end systems, and isn’t even available in any form on switch or mobile.

Second thought: I wouldn’t count it out. If Marvel allows them to stick with it, SE is the one company o believe could redeem this. They pulled the FF online games back from the brink. They can do it again.

 

There was a time long ago that I was really hyped for this thing and was looking forward to playing it. I wanted a series of games that maybe expanded the universe that Insomniac's Spoderman took place in, because that game set up the ground work for a great expanded universe sorta deal.

I'm very glad I got out of that phase, because Jesus Christ this thing sucks.

 

Getting flashbacks of this game and it's fate.

 

Decision making at Square Enix -

1 - Spend near-AAA money on Mankind Divided despite immersive sims not being a mainstream genre and their audience being gameplay driven rather then graphics driven
2 - Cut game in half during development
3 - Pull the plug on franchise again because it doesn't meant unrealistic management targets
4 - Stagnate Tomb Raider within two games of a successful reboot, which also didn't make unrealistic management targets despite doing generally good business
4 - Move both teams to an even more expensive game based on expensive licenced IP you don't even own
5 - Ignore huge success of single player action adventure game based on similar IP at other publishers
6 - Make semi-online grindy ARPG, despite that genre being heavily oversaturated and not within the experience of the teams making it
7 - Be surprised when game looses shitloads of money, leaving you worse off then just making better Tomb Raider and Deus Ex games

 

Man, why when the game's servers shut down they didn't make an offline mode? No seriously, I got it on Xbox One and I can't play it offline. Yeah, Marvel Heroes wasn't a good game, but I do wanna revisit it one day.

 

This implies that they've added or enhanced anything since launch in the first place, which is hardly the case.

 

They implied it, but have yet to do anything. It’s too late now.

I mean if that's your bar you could probably get countless other games with Joe Fixit Hulk skins for $5 total at that point, some on pc

 

Guess I’m gonna reinstall. I deleted it for space, but now I’m kinda wanting to getting back into it. The tease of Hawkeye’s story makes me sad there won’t be any chance of Logan, seeing as the story is literally Old Man Logan.

 

Black Friday 2020: Marvel's Avengers Will Get A Big Discount This Week
The game is having a huge discount, and I say it's a steal for players interested in the game. Prices are between 30-27$.
The game isn't good, but it's a good game to hold you over.

 

I actually really like the game. I haven’t beaten it yet,I just got Black Widow yesterday

 

Picked it up when it was on sale for Black Friday. Half price for the game and all the DLC? Yes, please!

And the first DLC expansion was released the other day.

 

Finally got around to finishing the Kate Bishop DLC, and I had a good time. Probably my favorite character in terms of gameplay, and she’s already my highest level character, although that isn’t saying much in the grand scheme of things. Coming back to the game reminds me why most don’t like it and what aspects I do enjoy of it.

I feel like this game has the potential to make a comeback and redeem itself for a disappointing launch, but I do have to ask myself if that much effort is even worth it to the developers. I guess time will tell.

Looking forward to Clint’s DLC, which I believe drops early 2021 assuming there’s no major issues.
