From yellowb_85 in 15 days I got Transformers KFC EAVI METAL Eighth Bomb Lion Simba Reprint from China to Italy.
Now I got from mr.brian2009 Transformers Optimus Prime MP-44 Version 3.0 KO: bought November 17th, has been in Italy since 27th; now I await my postal service for delivery.
There has always been great communication.

 

I see, I am just worried cus I ordered FT Astrotrain from yellowb_85 and he still hasn't shipped him even tho he's been out for ages :/ he's saying its due to get to them by the end of the year ( why so late after release :/ ) but I'm worried that if that is the case he will barely be shipped in January when all this brexit nonsense will possibly make this a pain to import even from china ( you know assuming he actually does ship poor Astrotrain)

 

China has third country status with the EU. This will continue to apply to the UK-China trading relationship irrespective of whether the UK is in or out of the EU unless the UK/China negotiates specific trade terms. Unlikely in the current political/economic climate.

So no real change for you buying TFs from China. If you buy really expensive figures and triggers import fees (vat)/customs duty then the UK will collect it all and not send it to the EU middleman post transition period ending.

Hope that helps to allay any fears or worries you have over Brexit which won’t be the reason for your FT Thomas being potentially delayed.

 

Oh alright, I see mate, thank you for that information! I am however still a little worried/ confused because I also have Haslab Unicron on pre order, and the person I ordered from said they are unsure themselves of what brexit could mean for that specific figure.

For astrotrain I'm more worried about wether the seller I ordered from will actually send him out or not

 

While this won't come off as the most reassuring endorsement, your seller is one of at least 3 linked accounts, the primary being one with over 22,000 positive feedback over the years, so on the very off-chance they did try to scam you, it would mean completely re-evaluating years of tried and tested methods of recognizing scammers, effectively making no amount of caution reliable. Sellers as prominent as Baba, Netclow, or Uncle Billy would be just as suspect at that point.

Picked up my MP-44 KO yesterday. 17 day total shipping once the pre-orders finally got into mascotzone's hands. And that was even with spending some time in Greenwood, Indiana just hanging out. So I'm happy and need to figure out what is safe to move/transform on this second batch. I did notice the painted eyes and the loose Autobot symbol tucked into my packaging. I've got some reading to do tonight to get him into top shape.

Hard to look up much as far as pricing for them as they specifically will not post to the US and all their item listing feedback is private. Still, there's no obvious signs of anything suspicious in the rest of their feedback profile, and what few negatives are present seem to be from people who didn't know what they were buying. Plus, after just short of 5 years and 2700 feedback, seems a bit late in the game to turn scammer.

 

just some of the figures he has are about half what they are elsewhere, could be they are just ko but I'm not clued up on figuarts figures so not sure if ko are a thing with them or not

 

Anybody know if pokerface2018 is reliable? They're selling something that I'm interested in for a bit of a higher price but I'm not bothered by that as long as I don't get scammed

 

Not my thing personally, but I know a few people that buy the KOs here and there. The quality seems to be a little all over, but the prices are always extremely cheap, even for rare figures. Trying to get a realistic gauge on quality seemed difficult though, because you had extremely snobbish collectors that would shit all over KOs on general principle, making it difficult to determine if they'd gotten a bad figure, if the original figure itself was bad, or if they simply thought KOs were bad and made up reasons to bash them; so, not entirely unlike the TF community as a whole, really.

 

You aren't kidding, they seem pretty overpriced on most everything I looked at. If they're a scammer, they're certainly not trying to lure people very well. Still, I don't notice much anything they have listed that couldn't be found cheaper from other sellers that are reliable, but I'm just going by what catches my eye in their listings.

Hello everyone! I have a major issue with wolvesbabies! They are listed as a safe seller here and my understanding is that this is the same person as mascotzone & mascot_home. I pre-ordered Big Firebird EX-01 from wolvesbabies on Wednesday, Feb 5, 2020 for $85.99. I have messaged wolvesbabies on 10/01/2020 and 10/05/2020 requesting a status update as the figure has already been released. I HAVE NOT received a response from them. At this point what can I do? I would like the figure but do not want to pay $140.00 (after shipping) for a figure that I pre-ordered @ $85.99.

If I am unable to get this resolved, I am requesting that wolvesbabies be added to the BAD SELLERS list as they are doing me dirty!

I just got my MP 44 KO pre-order from mascotzone, so they're normally a reliable seller. But what you're saying is total fraud on their part.

I will note that 10/1 and 10/5 were both part of the weeklong Chinese National Holiday (like 10/1 through 10/10 this year?). Giving them the benefit of the doubt, I'd say best case is that they had hundreds of e-mails after such a long break and your requests got lost. Worst case is that you're way out of your PayPal protection window and have zero chance of getting your money back. But I doubt a reputable seller would want to take that risk if you're polite and can demonstrate you had a pre-order.

Have you e-mailed them since 10/5? My suggestion would be to e-mail them once more. Include your photo above in the e-mail showing that you did have a valid pre-order. If they still won't honor your pre-order or provide a refund then I'm all for moving all three associated sellers to the BAD LIST.

Edited to add: with both mascotzone and wolvesbabies I made sure to contact them just as soon as MP-44 and TE-03 were coming out to make sure I was still on their radar. Each time I was polite and friendly, but firm asking for a projected shipping date. They each missed their own estimated date by about 7 days, but I think that's pretty good for this method of purchasing.

If nothing else, filing a case with Paypal tends to light a fire under sellers butts to take issues more seriously. As far as your specific scenario, I've had some highly regarded sellers (13,000+ feedback) pull scenarios like this where I preordered something way ahead of time when the price was low, and then when the price went up upon release, they never shipped, and dragged their feet hoping I'd simply cancel my order rather than them take a loss on profitability, and when confronted with a Paypal case, they lied extensively until they lost the case, having wasted several weeks of my time.

As to this specific figure, I preordered mine in October of 2019, and when it finally released this year, the seller had to upcharge me for the difference in shipping rates after the fact. Not ideal, but understandable, and the seller was very transparent about it (even offered to hold it until shipping rates returned to normal) which was still much cheaper than placing a new order at the time.

Something you might try, with your seller being a part of a group of likely 5 possible accounts, you could also try emailing some of the other account names as well to see if you have better luck with responses as well.

I purchased a JinBao green devastator upgrade kit. The item arrived in less than 2 weeks. The cab piece and waist piece were missing (I assumed they were included, and I have the early version of the JinBao that doesn't have these pieces). I contacted the seller to ask about those 2 pieces - he said he would contact JinBao and send them. I honestly wasn't expecting to get them, but they showed up in the mail today. I'm impressed.

 

That is great news. Nice to know that seller has dealt with your case in a speedy and efficient manner. Less rare they deal with such issues. I think others have said good things about bidders_park but not about missing components being sent out.

I highly recommend the following kit to compliment what else you have got for it. This set really does stabilise the figure in gestalt mode.

4 hooks go around the bucket and stabilise the right foot. A clip on the back of each heel help to keep the back of the feet together. Crotch piece helps reinforce that area between the two legs. I still have to paint the pieces.
