    Like I said, Milne's a visionary, man.

I don't think anyone can deny, that thing is FUCKING. BEAUTIFUL. God I hope we see that supposed reissue early next year, haha.

Would that happen to be the new reissue of Scourge or the original release, by the way? Hopefully you didn't have to deal with any issues of his if it's indeed the latter.

Also godspeed for keeping it real with Ditka, haha. Hopefully his knees didn't give you much trouble, unless your version is the one that fixed those problems, that is.

    Wow thanks for the compliment!

I made a dry bedding in the polystyrene and then filled it with Realistic Water bij Woodland Scenics. Covering up the front with cardboard. I coloured it with their turquiose coloring, but I think that maybe all colored inks could work.

I wouldn't know if I would go for Woodland Scenics again, might use epoxy raisin, though I need to check the safety precautions first.

How do you rate the re-issue sweeps?

My X-Transbots Andras is indeed the recently repainted re-issue!!

    20201128_095216_HDR~3.jpg

I think the deep glistening blues give it away... well, that and the silvery-grey tones on the thigh areas.

So far, I only have XTB Andras... and I rate him pretty highly... but probably not quite as highly as FansToys Quietus.

    20201128_095503_HDR~2.jpg

I wanted to get the Swarm pack but don't have the spare cash... and even after the holidays, it is unlikely that I will have the spare $350 - $400 needed for the set.

But, with the new paint applications... I really do enjoy XTB's offering for a masterpiece scaled Scourge!

    20201128_094909_HDR~2.jpg

Transformation was mostly straightforward... but I still found the legs to be a challenge.

Arm and leg joints are tight... but not "FansToys tight". Ankle tilt can be hindered a bit by Andras's leg casing. But other than that, he is able to hold any pose I attempted.

Andras's alt-mode definitely looks the part of Scourge in "planet-eating-herald-space-vessel" mode... and the new blue hues really make the figure POP!!

    20201001_180913_HDR~2.jpg
    20200930_181539_HDR~2.jpg

Even though the Cyclonus pictured here is FansToys, I think these guys really mesh well together!!

For the most part, I think the more recent offerings from X-Transbots and FansToys often look very well together...

    20200930_180611_HDR~2.jpg
    20200930_165753_HDR~2.jpg

But bot-mode is what really draws us here! And XTB Andras seems to align perfectly with my other S3 figures.

While FansToys Quietus oozes arrogance, I think X-Transbots Andras has a bleak misery about him... which in my humble opinion, fits the personality of Scourge.

    20201128_101007_HDR~2.jpg

"Don't just stand there like an inanimate action figure... GET AFTER THEM!!!!" 20201128_103052_HDR~2.jpg

"Eat decibels freaks!! Hope you like some MERZBOW!!"
    20201128_100218_HDR~2.jpg
    "AAAAAAARRRRGGGGHHHH My Auditory Sensors!!!"

Now as far as Andras goes, I think he's the only offering right now for anyone looking to fill a Scourge sized hole in their collection.

So... for completionists, or for people looking to acquire the 3rd season's unholy trinity... (unless some other 3P developer out there tosses a hat in the direction of Scourge) Andras will remain a bit "S3/86-movie" essential.

I guess I'd be remiss if I didn't mention his Targetmaster companion, Fracas!

    20201128_110848_HDR~4.jpg

He's a great little figure, and a little bit taller than FT-29 Quietus's Targetmaster companion (Nightstick, I believe).

    20201128_105600_HDR~2.jpg
    20201128_105947_HDR~2.jpg

I wish I could speak more about the Swarm set. I really like their accessories... especially Curse, with his "Starscream's Ghost" accessories!

I had read some discouraging things about the Swarm pack repaints... like the paint was applied too thickly and was hindering movement.

But, my Andras has been pretty much issue free [knocking on wood].

And right now, I can picture no other figure when I imagine Scourge... except XTB Andras!

    20201128_110848_HDR~2.jpg

I might follow up at some point with a list of my figures that have the most striking paint work... the Andras repaint would definitely be on that list!!

    Cheers!!

Awww that's a shame. I'm looking for a stand that can hold TE-01 Op Leader, and was hoping it was a generic stand.

This is a somewhat redundant post, considering I commented similarly in the "latest purchase" thread, but I'm loving this 3P figure and figured I should share here.

Maketoys Gundog 2Y just arrived to supplant MP-47 on my shelf, it being the most disappointing MP I've ever purchased (and mine hasn't broken). Granted, I appreciate more of a toy aesthetic, and MP Hound is slavishly animation-themed, so maybe it was my own stupid fault for buying him to begin with. Whatever... he's likely going to end up a Detritus repaint now.

As for Gundog, he's exactly what I wanted in a modern Hound figure: chunky stance, blocky feet, great colors (dark green, yes!), chrome, interesting toy details, and some visible but not obtrusive car kibble. He's everything MP-47 isn't, and he's fantastic for it. I'm thrilled with my early holiday gift to myself!

Depends. The stand comes with two "grabbers" (spring loaded arms that go around the figure). If you use the larger one, it can go around most of his waist and hold him pretty securely in a variety of poses though it doesn't do great at holding him up in the air. Personally I use the smaller one and have it grasp the area just above his waist in the back - it's not as good a grip but it keeps it hidden from the front and it provides the extra balance I need for the poses I put him in.

I have had Fans Toys and Takara but Gundog is by far my favorite Hound. 360069F7-DA29-41BD-B95F-F470B5FA347B.jpeg 526F18DC-3E97-43FB-93D9-31CDE4D04CB9.jpeg

Your 2Y is wearing some tampos or stickers that mine lacks**, and mine has silver thighs. Did it come that way or did you apply them? I was considering making some gold stripes for the hood of mine.

**EDIT: Ah... Toyhax. I just found them. Gotta get those!

I did swap the white and silver leg and ab pieces between the two figures. The toy version has several white tampos on him so I thought the white legs/ab parts from the toon version might look good on him. After I swapped them I ended up liking the white on the toy and the silver on the toon so I kept them that way.
