One of my favorites from Siege and my absolute favorite iteration of Shockwave. The fact that they gave him all the extra bits is just bonus material in my opinion. I really enjoy the glider and it all makes for Shockwave to transform into an awesome spaceship. Worth every penny to me for the play value and great design.

 

For me Shockwave is the most 'complete' of the Siege style leaders what with how he's not only a great solo figure and a good figure in both modes when 'armoured' up, but that his extra parts have a cohesive form and purpose when NOT attached, either as his hover platform or as a drone, compared to Magnus and GUPrime who's armour parts just kind of lie about when not attached and don't really form anything. Even Astrotrain has his parts form the tender/ammo chest thing when not attached.
I can't speak for any of the other WFC leaders but to my knowledge they don't really follow the armour playstyle?

 

Speaking of mold-mates from differing factions, Zetar being a remold of a Decepticon intrigues me. I use Brunt as an army builder, and I picture Zetar as a Brunt who defected to the Autobots. That combined with the clown-like face gave me an idea for a goofy origin story. One which also reveals Ironhide's secret fear.









Poor Zetar. He doesn't mind the clown face that much, but he really wanted to be Burt.

Out of all the Siege ship modes, Shockwave's is the best, and the hoverboard-of-death thing is just fun. I also like the "totally not a gun turned upside down" mode.

I agree about the armored up configuration. I know it's not everyone's cup of tea, but I really like it. Looks like something Shockwave would come up with. And yeah, as much as I love Siege Ultra Magnus it would be nice if you could do something with the else with the armor when it's not attached.

And yeah, when I stopped looking at Shockwave's upgraded robot mode as armour and more as a Doctor Optopus style mad scientist harness it all clicked   I just love how much Siegewave looks like a mad scientist, especially on his box art which pretty much screams "THEY CALLED ME MAD!" with clenched fist and some kind of tesla coil in the background.

Speaking of, I've seen one fanmode which uses the bonus arms as a tesla coil backpack  

 

You must either live alone or have a very patient partner.

My preferred use of Shockwave's armor components is as restraining equipment on Trypticon. That giant clear hexagon deserves to be used as chest armor.


The only thing I don't like about the stock attachment option for Shockwave is how tall the backpack becomes. I prefer to compact everything, give the body a little bit of armor.

No armor on any of them. Doubledealers gets a backpack, but all the bits are fairly afterthought-ish. You can't even bolt them together when putting it aside.

Like most fandom in-jokes, it was a fun joke since the Jojo franchise is almost 35, lots of other media (especially Japanese) have taken influence and fans used it as a joke to confuse normies.

And then Reddit happened and mercilessly murdered the joke through overuse.

Yes, the first 5 parts have been animated out of 8 (which is still being written).

Most (but not all) manga become anime. In some cases, an anime manifests on its own (often to peddle toys/merchandise), and those occasionally get manga adaptations, but most often it's spin-offs and side-stories. It's complicated.
